If you're looking for a clean, comfortable place to sleep for a couple of days, this is your place. Though lacking amenities, such as a pool, it does have a great continental breakfast and is conveniently located to restaurants, movies, shopping, and the interstate.

My stay at this Springfield hotel was nice. The staff were kind and really nice. My room was a large room with modern decor. The bathroom had a whirlpool. The breakfast was fine as well. The locaton was in a nice clean and safe area.

We just returned from spending 2 nights at the Sleep Inn. We found the staff to be friendly and the rooms clean and quiet at night.
Nora cooks a great breakfast in the morning and they have juice and coffee available all day long. You can't beat their location as a base for getting around Springfield. You can say a lot about a hotel or motel, but as a business/pleasure traveler for the last 30+ years I believe the best indication of how good a hotel is depends on whether the reviewer would stay there again. When it comes to the Sleep Inn, Yes, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Drunks, dogs barking, and bugs in your hotel

We stayed here on a Saturday night. The hotel is pet friendly, and there was a dog barking loudly all night long. There was lots of partying around our room, slamming doors and drunken shouting. I had to call the front desk twice at midnight and at 1 am because of the barking. The worst was the next morning when I got out of bed, only to discover several little red ant-like bugs crawling all around inside the bed. When I told the front desk at check out I did not even get an apology.
Good hotel for the price

We stayed at the Sleep Inn twice in Sept. 02.
If you want a no frills hotel, it's a good place to stay. It's a good value for the money. For me, a hotel is a only a place to sleep. If you want activities, you'll have to stay somewhere else.
It is also in a very good location. It is located by the strip mall that contains WalMart and Target and several other stores. The mall is about a mile down the road. There are several good restaurants withing walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel is clean. The staff is friendly.
There were a couple of things I didn't like.
The hotel is rectangular shaped with the front desk at one end. Our room was located at the opposite. It was quiet but we had to walk to the other end of the hotel to get to the elevator and the ice machine. The ice machines are located on the first and third floors, so request a room on those floors if you will be using ice.
They serve a continental breakfast that wasn't real great. We went down to Perkins. It's much better fare but if you are in a hurry, the continental breakfast will do.
I will stay there again. Their prices usually run from $52.00 to $69.95 (at least in 2002). They may go up, but it would still be worth.
