The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable, good value. Breakfast was good, lots of options. The hotel is near the train station, so the area is not good. I wouldn't recommend spending a week here, but if you need a night or two near the train station, this is perfect. There is a good, inexpensive local restaurant just down the block, Cucina Dei Mille. Most courses were around 4 euro, and the food was more than decent.

We stayed at this hotel on our 3 day trip to Naples, and the experience was ok enough. The hotel itself is clean, food was good, service great and overall a nice hotel. The location on the other hand was something else. The neighbourhood is not very nice, and would not recomend this for singel girls alone! It is right next to the train/metro station, and that is about it. There are very much traffic noise outside the hotell window, but I think that goes for anywhere you stay i the city center of Naples! I dont think I would stay here again if I went to Naples, but mainly because of the location, not the hotel itself!

Although the overall experience was satisfactory, a few points need to be highlighted. Firstly the good stuff... the beds are excellent, pillows soft and the bathrooms clean. The breakfast is also excellent, the food being of good quality, plentiful and the serving staff attentive and polite. But... the location is dire apart from its proximity to the train station. You have to run the gauntlet of tat vendors and it doesn't seem safe at night. Also the traffic is a joke and is very dangerous to those unused to the appalling driving skills of the Italian male. The biggest letdown was the attitude of the front of house staff who were offhand, rude and inefficient.

Generally hotel room sizes in Europe come as a little surprise because they are quite compact. This hotel room was the same but it was still generous in size. The rooms were clean and airy and the beds a good size. The location is perfect, its in Piazza Garibaldi which is central to everything and the main bus stops and train station is across from the square so very helpful. It did get noisy because of the masses of traffic around that area and the windows didnt reall help, especially at 7am when all you can hear is beeping. The front of house staff seemed quite moody on a number of occasions however there were a few exceptions including a lovely lady who was more than happy to help and highlight maps and train routes for us! The breakfast was a bit of a let down but it was a continental so it was expected. The view from the top of the hotel is lovely, but the restaurant isnt open at the top so we didnt really understand the point of it. Overall a great base to explore Napoli and good value for money. By the way bring your own iron as the hotel wont have any !!!
