This is a great corporate hotel. Directly across from the train station.
Rooms were large with great bathrooms.
Great value.
We used Bologna as a base and traveled by train to other locations.
No bellman was there to assist us with our luggage. Front desk had only one person most of the time we were there. It was over Easter weekend however.

Just had two night at this hotel. I've been to Bologna before and since I didn't have a car this time, decided to book a hotel near the station as there is an airport bus there which runs every 15 minutes.
The hotel front desk staff were all great, helping with booking restaurants, giving directions and tips etc.
the lobby is modern and trendy. the bar is very funky, if quite pricey.
Our room was small - too small really. Mind you, it was only ?129 a night. The desk was cramped and given this is a modern 'with-it' hotel, the CRT TV looked very old fashioned and only had 2 English channels (Eurosport and CNN). Bathroom ok (shower only). Safe to small for my tiny laptop. Main gripe was the heat! The a/c didn't work - front desk said temperature was set 'centrally'!!
Breakfast was disappointing. Passable but could do better.
The location is just about ok - you can walk into the center in about 15 minutes.
Lastly, internet access available in the room - wired or wifi. Outrageous charge as so often happens in hotels. when will they learn not to charge so much (or charge at all!).
Would I stay here again? no - the hotel was ok, but I like to try different places.

We stayed for 1 night on 12 August 2007.
This is a very modern, ultra chic hotel. The lobby, bar, restaurant etc are simply beautiful. Our room was fine. I can recommend this hotel except the front desk were really unhelpful on our arrival.
We arrived by car with many small items of luggage. Since our car is very low, we were unable to drive into the hotel car park since the ramps descending into the car park were too steep.
In any event, we had to unload our luggage. The front desk told us:
1) the porter could not cross over the street with a trolley to help do this (since the hotel insurance didn't cover the porter crossing the road)
2) we could not take the trolley across the street to do this ourselves (since we were not insured to use the trolley)
3) we could not take the trolley out of the side entrance to the lobby (again, they didn't want liability)
4) the porter could not collect our bags from the hotel’s own driveway (on the side of the hotel)
The hotel insisted that the only option was for me to temporarily position my car in the access road (which goes towards the car park) i.e. blocking it to other people and that I should then carry all our many small bags myself to the trolley in the lobby from there. The porter would then take the trolley to our room.
As you can imagine, by this stage, I had really, really had enough. This was not what we needed after a long day’s travelling. The hotel's policy was being applied with zero flexibility or discretion and with no common sense.
I did load all our many bags onto the trolley but I made sure that I could at least take the trolley to the car. You can imagine how many people were sounding their horns at us while we were forced to block the car park access road.
This was the only major blemish on an otherwise delightful stay at this ultra chic and trendy hotel.
You will love Bologna - it's really underrated and has excellent restaurants and places to visit.
If you visit in August, although some places are closed for the whole month, there are still enough bars, cafes, restaurants and sights open for you to have a wonderful time.
NB all the underground car parks will be closed in August. If you can't access the hotel car park (since the ramps are too steep - and we have a low sports car) then you can park at the Tanari Park & Ride just outside the town centre. The hotel can guide you as to the location of this alternative car park - or better still, just find it on any search engine.
