We got a great deal through Bookings.com because it was a Sunday (nearly 1/3 the price). We decided to treat ourselves to a 4 star hotel (used to 1 and 2 star Hostals). The room looked somewhat clean, very old, smokey smell, and no AC till mid June is what we were told. This was a little bit nicer then the 2 stars we are used to (comes with soap and softer towels), but no where near a 4 star and you can definately find better in Salamanca if you are looking to treat yourself.

Estuvimos solo una noche en el monterrey, aquí he visto alguna crítica negativa pero la relación calidad-precio no es del todo mala ya que es el hotel mas barato de 4 estrellas de la ciudad. Bien es cierto que necesita alguna reforma y un lavado de cara y de mobiliario en las habitaciones. Aunque insisto 60 euros por habitación en el centro de salamanca (a 3 minutos caminando de la plaza mayor) es buen precio. El edificio es espectacular, la atención en recepción se puede mejorar (bien es cierto que el hotel estaba completo y tenían mucho lio) y no tuvimos agua caliente para ducharnos el dia que marchamos cosa que con 2 grados de temperatura exterior te deja un mal recuerdo.

stayed for two nights with a tour group of 35. we changed our room to a double bed once we saw two singles. tiny room, had to turn sideways to go between bed and desk to reach window. in july=no students=no night life. breakfast included, but was not memorable.

El hotel esta muy bien situado, a pocos metros de la plaza Mayor, pero por dentro las habitaciones son pequeñas, viejas, y con bastantes desperfectos, el precio que cobran no se corresponde con la calidad que ofrecen. Las habitaciones no estan bien insonorizadas, y se oyen ruidos y a las de la limpieza por la mañana, las puertas de los baños estan carcomidas y desconchadas por la humedad, los muebles viejos, realmente deberia tener una o dos categorias menos.
