The location's quite good for business, tho' for leisure I'd always recommend staying in the Old Town on the other side of the river. But Zurich's small anyway, so it's not a huge deal. There's no real reception area and the layout's odd, but, again, not a huge deal. The rooms are very nicely finished in a modern style, the internet works well, and the glass-walled showers are great - powerful and spacious. Just make sure that if you're travelling with a friend that (i) you have a great body and (ii) you don't mind your friend looking at it!
The negatives are that most of the rooms are on the street, so if you're hypersensitive to noise pollution, give it a miss; and that the breakfast spread is ok but not wonderful (there's no space to put a wonderful breakfast anyway!). And it was very expensive for what it is - but this could have been because there was a Euro2008 football match on that night, and everywhere was full. Check the rate, it shouldn't be too expensive.
All in all, though, a good hotel for a short stay, and a bit different so you'll remember it.

Hi I stayed in this hotel for one night.
I was late booking and after numerous searches I stayed here based on price and location. Considering reviews of other city centre hotels I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised.
Reception: Friendly and helpful.
Room: Interesting, I stayed on the 4th floor in a small room. It was a little different as the shower and sink area were in the bedroom but not a big deal. It was spotless and comfortable.
Elevator: When you get in, stand at the back as there is no protection from the wall in front of you whizzing by!!!
Location: It is located about 5 minutes walk from the Bahnhofstrasse the main shopping street and there is also a tram stop approx. 1 minute away.
I used taxis a lot in the city and they are expensive. If you have time I would definitely recommend the tram system.
Overall I would stay in this hotel again.

I stayed here for a business trip under advice from my colleague who had recently tried Flemings out himself.
It is perfectly located in central Zurich, being close to the business centre, shopping areas (5 min to the Bahnhofstrasse), lake, 1 minute from the nearest tram stop and 2 minutes from the Selnau train stop.
The hotel is small so the staff were not overstretched and could offer a good level of service. Being new, the rooms were of a very good standard although the idea of a big glass shower in the main room is a bit odd! The DVD playing TVs (multi region) are a good idea for those on extended stays.
The one poor aspect is the lack of air-con in the rooms which make for uncomfortable nights during warmer weather; you need the fan on and the windows open, allowing the traffic and nearby bar noise in to add to the uncomfortable environment.
This is a big shame as otherwise it would be a 5-star hotel for me as a business traveller. I will be returning shortly though, so will be able to see if the cooler weather makes a big difference.

Me alegra recomendarlo.
Ok value for the price and city

Very small and niche hotel, near Bahnhof strasse - not the easiest to
access, particularly if u are carrying luggage and a strange bar cum reception greet you as you reach. Rooms are ok - but the idea of a glass shower inside the bedroom was a little strange to say the least. Also no air-conditioning and in early June, it got a little stuffy and uncomfortable - i guess the hotel will be ok at other times of the year.
Service was acceptable and the room was clean - and the price (240 francs) was ok given how expensive Zurich was and the fact that breakfast was included. One other downside - the rooms are next to the road and therefore noise is an issue, particularly at night.
