We stayed here in July, 2008 for a 4-day holiday to Stockholm. We took a taxi from the airport as we got in late but I'd advise you to take the bus that stops a _very_ short distance from the hotel and we took that when we returned to the airport and it worked brilliantly for a lot less money. The hotel is a little way out of Stockholm itself. We found it easiest to walk to Odenplan and then ride the subway. It's about 15mins walk to Odenplan and then a couple of subway stops to the City or Gamla Stan so this worked out fine for us. The hotel is also on the edge of some major construction works. This did not bother us too much but if you had a room that faced those works you might find the noise annoying as they start early in the morning. Fortunately, we didn't have a room on that side and perhaps the hotel is minimising the use of those rooms. On the upside, the other side of the hotel faces a really nice lake and a park so one side is "perfect" and the other aspect is a bit "less than perfect" whilst these works are ongoing. Again, wasn't a problem for us. Our room was really nice. Split-level room with bathroom upstairs and downstairs and facing the courtyard. Absolutely great. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel. We only had breakfast which was fairly plain, standard continental stuff (muesli, cheese,ham, etc) and the breakfast room/dining room is a nice room to eat in. Because of not eating dinner, we didn't have a lot of experience of service in the hotel. What I would note is that when we checked in we had no offer to help with bags or anything like that and there was no general conversation like "Where have you travelled from?" or "Are you on holiday" or anything like that. A fairly "cold" welcome. Additionally, we came back from town one evening and sat in the hotel bar area ( this is a small area which was empty ) for over 20 minutes whilst various waitresses walked by and never thought to offer us a drink. In the end, I had to walk to the bar and ask to be served. Again, when we had finished these drinks the waitresses didn't come back to the table and ask us whether we wanted _another_ drink. They just kept walking by. All in all this is a great hotel that I'd have no problem in recommending to others. The only thing that they could do for me would be to get the staff to be a bit more friendly and attentive.

We had lunch in the restaurant and it felt like being sent back to the 1980:es. Sloppy service and when we complained on the not boiled hard potatoes - the answer we got was -thats the way they shold be !? The restuarant also use the 80:es formula of putting on 300% on the wineprices - more than 900 sek for a bottle of champagne.Downtown stockholm you get the same bottle for around 500 sek. Dont go here !!!!

we have stayed at this hotel for 3 days in July and we loved it. The hotel is nicely decorated, and the room was very clean, stylish and roomy. the bathroom was huge and great, and they offer an amazing breakfast with tons of food and a huge selection of everything: cheeses, cereals, cold cuts pastry, fruit. the personnel is really helpful and the location is lovely, on a little lake. however, it's not central but very well connected to the airport (a shuttle bus leaves just outside the hotel) and to the main station (another bus stops just 2 min away). we loved our stay there.

Nice quiet hotel close to the center. Comfortable rooms, great restaurant and the best of all is the closeness to the swedish nature. Perfect for business or a romantic weekend. I am in Stockholm for business and pleasure frequently and this is my new favourite!
