My seven day stay in this hotel was overall a pleasant experience. I got a single room that was of a good median size and quality you may find in most mid-range West European hotels. The bathroom was spacious and spotless-clean. Buffer breakfast was excellent in quality and variety. Food in all restaurants was good to great and reasonably priced for the quality. I saw many locals dining there too. The staff was friendly and attentive. Laundry service was efficient and they promptly followed my cleaning and ironing instructions. The area around the hotel is probably one of the liveliest in the rather somber city.

This is quite an old hotel despite what is stated in their brochures about being renovated. I arrived at 4am after a delayed flight and found that they had put me in a small room with a single bed, and a big 32 inch TV on a shelf on the wall by the side of the bed.
Decor is pretty dated with a faux black leopard printed formica wardrobe and also extremely flowery shower curtains as opposed to the glass doors we see more commonly.
The hotel is small so if thats your thing then its fine. However I like to have a certain level of anonymity when staying in hotels. The housekeeping had an annoying habit of knocking several times during the day to do various things, i.e. tidy up, replenish the fruit basket, deliver water, check minibar.
Be warned the Garden BBQ buffet is expensive by Riyadh's standards. A meal for one person with a glass of orange juice cost SR200 which is almost £30 at today's exchange rates.
The gym is outside of the hotel, although not too far (literally in the next building) and is kitted out well. There are a couple of Squash courts and also a tennis court.
To be fair the staff are attentive, but as I said, a little too so.
On my second day I got them to change my room but they insisted on charging me a markup. I didnt mind so much as I wasn't paying.
I think the biggest positive for this hotel however is location. It is pretty much bang in the middle of all the main shopping malls in Riyadh and also it is a pretty buzzing area on Wed/Thu evenings. If you are in Riyadh on business it is a little difficult to hire a car so Taxis are your only option. In this instance, shops and amenities are all within walking distance. Given this one fact, I would probably stay here again.

Thought this was a pretty good place while here on business. The rooms are a bit small (haven't slept in a single bed for a very long time!) and dated. But the hotel overall is relatively modern. Breakfast is good; the evening barbeque is varied and pretty high quality, but not cheap. Very close to coffee shops and shopping mall. Perfectly good for a business trip.

This hotel is beautifully placed in central Riyadh close to just about anything you would need to do/ or anyone you'd need to meet in this city.
It is old fashionned and the rooms are small (and food not great but expensive) but it is, neverthless, very comfortable and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The small lobby area is a much favored meeting area place for anyone who is anyone in business circles in Riyadh.
Unfortunately they charge a lot for wireless internet.
They have a good well stocked sports club with pool.
I recommend it for short stay in Riyadh.
