My 13 year old and I have just returned from a holiday to France. We stayed at the New Roblin for 4 nights and were very impressed. The staff at reception were very helpful in all maters, from booking tours, transfer to airports, restaurants..they all spoke good english.
The room was a good size for a Paris hotel and clean.
I found the bed comfortable but not my son who thought the matress too hard to his liking.
The breakfast was a typical french fare, bread, pastries, cheese, cold meats, cereal, bacon, scrambled eggs...
The hotel is situated in a beautiful area of Paris, walking distance to the Opera, the Elysee Palace, Place de La Concorde, le Louvre, we even walked to the Eiffel Tower.
They are a number of restaurants in the area as well as Fauchon and Heliard were you'll be amazed by the food display.
We'll be back!

From the moment we walked into the New Hotel Roblin, we were treated so wonderfully. The staff is great--friendly, extremely helpful, accomodating and, even though we always tried to start out speaking French, they were very fluid at English. The room was superb--we got the Deluxe and were very happy. It was probably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on at a hotel. We loved the decorating in the room and throughout the hotel.
The Roblin is perfectly located. The Madeleine Church is just down the street as is Cafe Madeleine. The Madeleine metro stop is two minutes away, the post office is about five minutes away, Printemps and Galleries Lafayette department stores are just ten minutes away. The Opera Garnier and the Louvre are both about 15-20 minutes away, Champs Elysees and the Arc Di Triomphe are nearby and even the Eiffel Tower is within walking distance. For destinations further, you can use the extremely convenient Madeleine stop to get anywhere you want to via the world famous Paris metro.
Simply put, we would not stay anywhere else. The hotel was perfect for our 10th anniversary celebration. It was a charming area with many French shops and designer businesses just around the corner. We especially loved Hediard (chocolates, sandwiches, wine and jelly candies to die for!) and Laduree Royale (great breakfasts, incredible croissants and the best hot chocolate and coffee you've ever had!)
Highly, highly recommend the New Hotel Roblin!!

Stayed five days at this hotel chosen for it's central location and reasonable price. Have visited Paris quite often and have stayed in cheap n' cheerful and not so cheap hotels in the past. Chose this hotel for the price as this break was an addition to my usual holidays taken in the year. Typical Parisian hotel - small but comfortable - cleaned very well everyday. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Hotel is central to all tourist attractions. Short walk to most Paris sights. Breakfast was your typical buffet with breads, cheese, eggs, (bacon??) etc. We're veggies, so didn't partake of sausages/bacon - however it looked like your typical european version of the english or Irish breakfast. Only one negative observation - arrived back at hotel on a Monday evening at 11:15 p.m. no one in reception - we went upstairs to change clothes and head out again for a late night - still no one in reception when we left about 40 minutes later ?? bit strange and left us wondering about hotel security. However must emphasise that this happened only one night out of the five we stayed. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting Paris to see the opera, eiffel tower, etc without having to worry about transport as mentioned earlier, everything is within walking distance - and also we all felt very safe in the area.

A wonderful property. Perhaps the best breakfast I have ever had. Service was consistantly perfessional and reliable. Had a suite on the 6th floor with a view of the Eiffle Tower. It is a large sized suite for being downtown Paris. Seldom took the metro as most tourist attractions are within easy walking distance - but if you need it, the metro is only a 2 - 5 minute walk away (we walk fast). A true 4 star hotel in a city with very high standards. You will not regret staying here.

I stayed at this hotel only for one night as I was passing through Paris very quickly and wanted to catch a nightclub on the Champs. If you read my other reviews on Paris, I always offer the advice to stay in the Latin Quarter.
This hotel was fine and I found it very comfortable. It has characteristicly small rooms as with many hotels in Paris so please don't be surprised. My taxi reservation was a bit earlier than I had hoped for but that seemed to be an honest mistake. Oddly however, the desk man asked me if I was staying for breakfast as my driver and I were rushing out the door with the meter running. If I had that kind of money to burn I would be staying at the Bristol, and well, just read my review on the Bristol..
Overall I would stay again, but the Latin Quarter is my first choice.
