I don't normally write reviews but seeing this place languishing in 407th on the list of hotels in paris is an injustice.
I stay in Paris very regularly and this hotel is good - it is very spacious, the rooms are enormous and the hotel has a great location.
The decor is very modern / minimalist and the lobby has alot of unusual pieces which create a special ambiance.
Food in the bar is v good, and service is friendly if not always hurried. The breakfast is good.
The hotel however let down by its service at the front desk, which is v amateurish.

El hotel muy moderno y limpio. El trato del personal es correcto y la ubicación perfecta; está a un paso de la mejor vista de la tour eiffel. Yo lo recomiendo y sin duda volvería. El desayuno a la habitación muy bueno.

Discriminates against Americans
Guest name: d81976, New York
My girfriends and I (all extremely good looking women and dressed very nice) tried to go to the bar of this hotel after we heard that it was a good place to go to for drinks. We were told by the manager that the bar was too full to let people in....we stood there for a few minutes deciding what to do....a few minutes later i saw about 7-10 people walking out of the bar...that is when I appoached the manager (his name was Nikolas and he was VERY RUDE) who told me they could still not let us in....literally 1 minute after that i see 4 French people walking into the bar with no problem.....
I live in NYC and go to all the "hot" places like Tenjune, The Box, Bungalow 8, etc with NO problems at all. So what I am assuming is that this Hotel discriminates against Americans because there is no reason for 4 attractive women who are dressed extremely well not to be able to get into a hotel bar and if the bar was full why were they letting French people in with no promblems?????
So if you don't want to feel rejected for being American skip the Costes Hotel. He literally shut the door in my face.
Feeling bad about this experience!

I just returned with a friend from a a short trip to London and Paris and feel so lousy about the Paris stay. We booked thru Splendia which states a possible upgrade and glass of champagne on arrival - none of that happened but that was ok. I do tend to feel like I am begging when there are those perks promised but not delivered so I just keep my mouth shut - which I did this time also. First, Hotel Coste K is wonderfully located -
a great walk to many fabulous sights and some ok brasseries if you choose to stay in the area.
The hotel is very modern and our final room was perfect although first we were taken to a room with a horrible smell. The man that helped us switch rooms said they hope people will just deal with the smell - we didn't and they were accomodating. I cannot say the staff and service was bad - everyone was accomodating but there certainly were no warm and fuzzies -I will attribute some to the language barrier and let it go.
The gym, spa is great - clean and safe enough for me to feel ok in the lap pool alone at night.
OK, so what made this lousy? A dress I bought disappeared from the room. I cannot pin down when it happened because as I wear something I usually put it back in my bag - I never went thru the bag when leaving since I assumed the dress was there packed away safely. In retrospect I remember hanging it in the closet after wearing it. So both my friend and I checked the room over and over, assumed we had everything and flew back to NY. When I unpacked - no dress. The bag was just as I packed it so no chance of an airport problem.
A French friend got on the phone and made numerous calls to the hotel - nothing came of it - they said there was no recourse for me.
So I do not make this accusation lightly but the bottom line is a $500.00 dress was stolen from Hotel Coste K with no seeming regret on their part. So what would the lesson be here? I guess I should have checked my bag yet as we hurried to catch a cab I still would have been helpless to do anything even if I had realized the dress was gone.
Yes, lousy experience in the end!!!!!!
