The hotel was pretty nice and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The room we had was none of the ones pictured. It was very small. And the bathroom was smaller than my shower. The included breakfast was great. You get a lot. And you have to eat the yogurt... It was the best I have ever had. It is about two blocks away from the subway and restaurants is pretty close within walking distance. The spa downstairs is also very nice and clean. The bed was not very comfortable but for Oktobrtfest you just really need a place to crash.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel the first two weeks of Sept 2007. We had a large room which in addition to the bedroom had a side area with a large sofa, tables and fridge. The room didn't have the glass bathroom which is displayed on the web pictures, so don't let that put you off - there are other rooms available. The staff were polite but not always helpful. We had to ask for extra pillows twice before they were delivered to the room. The room was cleaned every two days with fresh towels being left each time. On the down side, the TV only had 2 british channels, and the breakfast was the same every morning - cereal, bread, cold meat and cheese. We spotted a menu on the table on the second day which offered eggs and bacon at no extra cost. The hotel is on Leopoldstrasse which contains loads of great bars and restaurants. It's a 30 min walk down Leopoldstrasse to Marienplaz and only a few stops on the subway. Munich is a very clean and safe city and this hotel is a great base to explore it.

The Fleming's Schwabing is a nice neighborhood hotel, a couple blocks north of the Munchner Freiheit U-Bahn stop. My partner and I got a kick out of the glass-walled bathroom. Yes, the room was small, but it was clean and modern, and the staff was incredibly friendly.
Be sure to check out the bar at this location or the Fleming's near the Hauptbahnhof. The prices were good and the service better. We had an excellent demonstation in preparing Absynthe.
Their business package is a great deal if you intend to stay in the room a lot. It's 15 euro or less, and includes unlimited internet, minibar consumption and pay movies. And be sure to get up for breakfast!! Yummy, yummy weisswurst. :)

My partner and I stayed at Flemings Munich for four nights from May 17th 2007. The hotel is situated on the junction of a major cross road and can be pretty noisy if you have a room to the front or the side of the hotel as we did.
The staff are extremly friendly and the service is second to none, in our case the mini bar in the room was free and we used it every day, not because it was filled with alcoholic drink, on the contary, it was filled with fruit juices and water and was very much appreciated as the weather was very hot at the time we stayed there.
The hotel has a fitness area in the basement which consists of a small fitness room, two saunas, one wet and one dry and a solarium all of which are free to hotel guests apart from the solarium.
The hotel is very convenient to the U bahn and there is easy access to the central station from the hotel, we tried the hotel restaurant for dinner and it was very pleasing, other restaurants were tested in the nearby area, an Indian and a Vietnamese which were also very acceptable for the price, service and quality of the food. Enjoy your stay here but remember to ask for a room at the rear of the hotel.
