My husband and I travel to Reading several times a year. We discovered the Inn at Reading two years ago and since then have never stayed at any other area hotel. The executive suite rooms are spacious and comfortable - I especially like the dressing area with sink and hairdryer separate from the bathroom. If you've ever slept on a Westin Heavenly Bed, the Inn at Reading beds are similar and extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet is incredible and serves my favorite Starbucks coffee. We have always found the entire staff to be courteous and responsive.
While this hotel might not be the youngest on the block, it possesses a charm and level of service that cookie cutter chain hotels cannot match.

Five-night stay, second time in 12 months. On the positive side, the
staff is very friendly, helpful and unusually well-trained. The continental breakfast (free during the week) is well-above average.
On the negative side, my room was in one of the annexes. While the room was larger than in the main part of the motel, it was not as well-appointed and the bedding wasn't as good. Moreover, the annex seemed to be full of laborers who worked in the area and rose very early weekday mornings and partied very late on the weekends (the troops were called in at 4:30 Saturday morning).
There is a fairly good Italian restaurant in a small strip mall within a short walk from the hotel.

If you are looking for a safe, clean place near the outlets, here's the place to stay. Staff was helpful and courteous. The free breakfast during the week provided tasty eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, muffins, and make-your-own waffles. The rooms were clean, but could use some new paint. There is also a free shuttle that will take you to the outlets. We will return to this hotel.

Our Stay here was horrible. My friends and I did the girlfriends weekend package they offer. What a nightmare! The lobby looked very promising but once we got into our room it all went down hill. Our room had a dirty odor that I can't quite explain it was strong enough that we had to open our window in November! Another thing was our tub drained so slowly, you basically had to take a shower standing in dirty water. GROSS. Our girlfriends getaway came with Chocolate covered strawberries. we told the front desk that when we wanted them we would call the front desk, which we never did because the smell in our room ruined our appetite. However at night while we were sleeping a hotel staff member came in our room unannounced and left them on our table. I have never stayed in a hotel where staff entered your room without knocking let alone while your sleeping. Very disturbing. After I told the manager he pretty much acted like he had no time or could care less. I would never stay here again. And I would consider this place a motel not hotel!

I and my family had reservations at another area hotel which turned out to be a disaster of a place. I remembered my husband and I had stayed at the Inn at Reading a year or so earlier and it was a nice, comfortable, friendly place. I called their front desk in a panic to see if they had any rooms available on a last minute basis. The front desk person was very sweet and accomodating and managed to put all eight of us into a suite and a room for the remainder of our vacation. What a lifesaver!
The rooms appear to have been renovated recently with nice upscale furnishings and complimentary toiletry items. The beds are comfortable with new mattresses and clean bedding. The hallways and common areas are clean and have new carpeting. There are no unsightly and noisy wallmounted airconditioners.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable, although the dinner service was a little slow and they appeared to be understaffed. The food was good and portions were adequate.
Overall, I would certainly stay here again, although I can easily understand how the apparently small staff could become overwhelmed during times of high volume occupancy.
