I just got back from Milan this morning and I had the best experience, in great part because of this hotel. I will address points mentioned in previous reviews.
The room: very clean and newly remodeled. Everything was new. The bathroom was very big and modern. The only problem was that they didn't have a shower curtain and many times the water splashed outside of the shower area.
Safety: Very safe. I walked to and from the metro station (which is only two short blocks away) without any problems. Bear in mind, I am female and sometimes I'd walk at midnight and it was not a big deal at all.
Staff: Very friendly, helpful and quick to respond to your needs and requests. Most of them spoke English. One or two did not but I speak Spanish so that was very helpful. But the ones who didn't speak English tried to understand or got someone to translate. (I found this to be the case in Milan, in general. People really tried to understand if you tried hard to communicate.)
Something else is that happened to me is that my luggage was delayed (because of the airline). This hotel is right next to a grocery store so I was able to buy toiletries and other stuff very easily. There are other stores nearby including dry cleaners, bakeries, clothing, etc. I bought a blouse on the way to the metro once because I had to go to a conference meeting and my luggage was delayed an extra day.
I also liked being away from the tourist areas and I felt that I met some of the regular people in the city.

Room is dusty, the staff who work there (front desk, maid, server) doesn't speak English, hence, often lead to misunderstanding. The air conditioner is not working and didn't inform us prior to our arrival. Lousy location and not much to look at. Quite dangerous at night if you want to go to convenient store, bring just enough cash, and remember to leave your room key to the front desk regardless how near you want to go. Room is not sound proof. If you look properly, most of the doors to the rooms are being tried to force entry. Even at night we can hear someone from outside was shouting, and door knob was being turned vigorously. Breakfast was lousy.

I stayed here for the Milan Fair. it was a total rip off price wise.... Over ?300 a night excluding breakfast. this hotel is meant to be a 4 star... Maybe 15 years ago. The room smelled badly although it appeared clean. The bathroom was clean but grim and dated. The light inside the bedroom door turned itself on and off about every half hour throughout the night. The bed was as comfortable as a concrete slab and bring your own pillow as theirs are unbearable. To add insult to injury, there was no hot water in the morning! The breakfast buffet was extensive but poor quality. There is no excuse in a 4 star to give you pathetic orange squash for orange juice. The coffee sits on hot plates as does the water for tea so give up the idea of a decent cup of anything.
On the plus side the room was large.... But no excuse for the rest.

Antares Concorde in Milan is the ideal business class hotel for the traveller to Milan. I’d heard bad things about Italian hotels but I gather in Milan they’re a bit more professional. I needed quite a lot of business support and they were there to provide it. Milan’s quite big so how good the location is depends on what you want to be close to. It’s worth getting a taxi from the station.
The service at this place was superb and very professional, for this reason mainly I recommend it.

Just back from 3 days in Milan. The Concorde Hotel is just brilliant. When we arrived there had been a mixup in bookings and they were fully booked for the night with no rooms available.
Mario (reception) handled things so expertly we did not even have time to panic. We were put into a taxi to stay at a sister hotel, Antares Accedamia, and told we could stay one night and return to the Concorde or stay the 3 nights in Accedamia. The choice was ours. We chose to come back to Concorde for the other 2 nights.
When we arrived at Accedamia we had been upgraded to an executive room and the taxi was paid for by the hotel. Next morning there was a taxi for us to return to Concorde, again paid for by them.
Our room was ready in 15 mins even though it was 9am. We had booked room only but Tina (reception) advised us that breakfast would be included at no extra cost due to the mix up. This mix up occured in Ireland not in the hotel.
When Mario came on duty that night he welsomed us back. Tina gave so much information on getting around. The hotel was spotless and cleaning staff very friendly. I cannot sing their praises enough. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. Customer service at its best. Thank for a very comfortable and friendly stay.
