Won an auction on E-bay for a stay at this hotel. It is in a great location next to a large shopping mall and has great views over Cottbus from the higher floors. Luckily our room was on the 5th floor!
We had a lovely big room with two large beds and a great view of Cottbus. Everything was immaculately clean. The only things missing were tea/coffee making facilities in the room, although there was a mini-bar which was rather pricey.
The breakfast buffet was superb, with a great choice of hot and cold items.
We even saw the local Bundesliga team, Energie Cottbus, when the hotel hosted a small reception for them!
Cottbus itself is a nice place, be sure to visit Branitzer Park. I couldn't believe I was so close to otters in the wild!
Have stayed in many hotels in Germany and in general they are all good, however I would rate this hotel highly and would have no hesitation in recommending it to both business and leisure travellers.

A very good choice in charming Cottbus. A modern and comfortable hotel, very well appointed room, excellent bathroom etc. Near shops and transport. A pleasant walk to the extraordinary Staatstheater with the excellent Cottbus Orchestra (the reason for my visit). I had no complaint and if I had to return to Cottbus this would be my choice. Lindner appears to be a very well run, good value hotel chain.
