Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights in mid June. The hotel itself is on a corner and has a busy but nice bar on street level which seems to be quite a favourite with the locals! the hotel is spread upon the 4 levels above this.
We had the corner bedroom, which besides from its odd shape did give us great views in both directions of busy Brussells below. Our room was of an adequate size, and but was well decorated and clean. The bathroom was of a really good size, and had a fantastic large shower cubical in it, again this area was well decorated and fresh.
Breakfast was abit 'hit and miss', one day we had to wait over 40 minutes for the Chef to put another batch of pastries into the oven, as they had totally misjudged that the hotel was full, and that we all wanted breakfast. However on the other 2 mornings it was all there waiting for us, and was a good spread of pastries, bread, cereals etc.
The major selling point of the hotel is the location, less than a 5 minute walk to the Grand Place, and just on the edge of the whole historic town centre. The local streets directly around the hotel are filled mostly with bars, and resturants and had a very pleasant feel about it.
Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends, and would deffinatly consider staying again on a return visit.

I stayed at Hotel Orts for two nights in May 2008. I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are very new and clean. I actually arrived early in the morning and Freddy, the man who seems to run the day to day operations of the hotel had the maid clean the room immediately so I was able to check in within 30 minutes and while I waited, they offered me drink. I went up to the room a bit early and saw the maid clean. She was mopping the entire floor and even moved the bed and mopped beneath it. The wireless internet was had a very low signal in my room 514 (5th Floor, #14) so they gave me a cable and with that, the internet was very fast. Breakfast was mainly croissants, bread and cereal.
The hotel is literally in the center of the city, a few blocks from everything (Grand Place, Mannequin Pis, etc...) directly across from the Marriot Hotel so the location was perfect.
When I checked out early in the morning, Freddy and I was able to chat a bit and he actually packed me a couple of croissants for the road because I had a plan to catch. He was very nice and the service overall was very good.
For the price I paid $150euros that includes breakfast and internet, there was nothing in that range in the city center, it was a very good deal for this small (15 room) boutique hotel.
My only minor complaint is that I sent two emails to them prior to my arrival asking for directions and they never responded. To get there from the airport, take the airport train to the Central Station. From there, you have to cross the street and walk down the hill until you reach Anspach street and look for the Anspach and Orts intersection where McDonalds is. They are up Orts street a bit. It's about a 10 minute walk.

This is a newish hotel located in the buzzing heart of Brussels' trendy district of St Gery. The room was very well-appointed and comfortable - the bed especially - and it was spotlessly clean. The room was not huge but perfectly fine. There is a digital TV with hundreds of channels and crystal clear picture quality. In-room internet is free of charge and very fast, the connection is via cable, there isn't one provided in the room; I carry my own so I am not aware as to whether the hotel can provide one. The shower was terrific. There is also a laptop-sized safe in the room.
The hotel is located above a bar which was buzzing on Saturday night. There was some noise coming through into the room but it was barely perceptible though I could imagine it disturbing those who are not in town for the nightlife. Breakfast was included in my room rate but if I hadn't been, I wouldn't have bothered. There were some - admittedly delicious - croissants and pains au chocolat, cereals and a small selection of cheese and (pork) meat. Not really worth EUR10 and there are some much better breakfast places across the street on the Dansaertstraat. The only thing that let the place down slightly was the staff. By and large they were very amenable and welcoming although there were one or two who had a little too much attitude than was absolutely necessary.
This hotel is a great choice for those who are looking to be in the heart of Brussels' superb nightlife district. There are some very good weekend deals out there that are worth digging out.
