Room was tiny, they advertised "large beds", but the bed in the double room was hardly queen size. If you didn't leave the room empty early enough (by 2pm or so), usually no cleaning was to be expected.
Breakfast was disgusting, 9,50 euros for two pieces of dried out cheese, rotten (honestly, it was) garlic butter, pieces of white airy toast or rolls, bad coffee and bad orange juice. Breakfast buffet was 17,50, wasn't too tempted to try after the first breakfast experience. There was complimentary coffee, but many times only decaf, for some weird reason... Also more than one creamer a week seemed to be too much to hope for.
Also they were proud about the view, well, our view was to some interior part, where no sky was to be seen, only the opposite wall. Also many small things that wouldn't require too much money were unsatisfactory, like no place where to hang your wet towel in the bathroom. No mirror, except the small one in the bathroom.
Only positive surprise was free fixed line internet, provided you have your laptop with you, which I did.
The staff was not very nice, when we came, the guy told us that we are lucky getting the last room as they are over booked. I had booked and paid the room 5 months before, so I damn well expect to have a room when I arrive! I don't mind staying in cheap dormitories with limited comfortability, but when I pay almost 1000 euros a week, I would expect a bit - no, a lot - more!!!! Please choose another hotel!

Got a good advance rate online and have stayed at this hotel before so knew what I was getting. True the rooms can be small and the views well aren't really a view, but I love the hotel due to the good location, friendly staff and great decor.
One negative is the smell, kind of raw sewage, I'd guess this hotel has old plumbing, but it was really quite bad coming from the bathroom and the trendy glass door doesn't seal the doorway so no way to stop it.
Overall though I had a nice room, bigger than average and was happy.

After reading the review warning us not to get room 100 for the noise, we asked for different room, but was asked to pay extra 80 euros for it. So we just took the room they gave us, Room 308.
Tiny, but clean and efficient. RIps on bed linen, but didn't notice till 2nd day. The room looked right across the next building's windows, so we had to have our curtains shut most of the time.
Be aware! EXTREMELY noisy till dawn from the bar, nightclub next door. We couldn't sleep well for the whole 2 nights.
Hotel location was very convenient. Beautiful canal and bridge, 10 minutes walk to Waterlooplein metro station, 10 minutes walk to catch tram in Rembrandtplein.
I recommend this hotel for travellers who visit this city for late night drinking and parties. Not for those wanting a relaxing quiet holiday.
I don't recommend dining in nearby Rembrandtplein. Get a tram to different areas. Poor choice of food, nothing dutch. Don't listen to hotel concierge's recommendation for food and good areas to go to. Do your research beforehand.
Next time, we would rather stay near Rijksmuseum, or stay in a different city like Edam or Volendam which were beautiful.
