Well, my boyfriend and I decided we needed a quiet evening together when I visited from college. We booked the hotel, getting the jacuzzi room and we got excited for the night. We came in from his hockey game
laughing, turned the jacuzzi on and couldn't get the water to stay in the tub! I went downstairs to call family real quick to tell them I had made it down from the UP ok while my boyfriend called the front desk. All they did was come in and say they couldn't fix it tonight. They didn't offer us an alternative! I was really upset, so we went out again and came back at about two AM, and when I went into the bathroom I found the toilet didn't work right! They once again stated nothing could be done tonight. I gave up and as we lay down to go to bed, there was yelling all down the halls and people calling each other horrible names. So much for our romantic night together! I went back to college disappointed and distraught.

If you don't mind remnants of pet leavings or of really nasty humans on your bedspreads, then this is the place for you. It was also peppered with cigarette burn holes, the toilet was stained yellow, stained carpeting, noise everywhere, nonworking or empty vending machines, paper on the hallway floors. We have decided that we will never stay at a hotel that accepts pets or in this particular chain again. The front desk staff were nice and took care of our bedspread problem, but it was too late because I was thoroughly disgusted!

For the record we are NOT a picky couple. We have stayed at our fair share of hotels throughout our life and have stayed at mediocre to extremely nice. This hotel has got to be the 2nd worse hotel we have stayed at in our years of traveling.
First off this was not our first pick of hotels. The hotel we wanted was full and we needed a hotel close to a wedding that we were attending. We decided to give this chain a try as they are new to Michigan.
We booked a king room with fireplace/whirlpool tub. Sounds nice right? Fireplace was electric which we expected but it was beat to hell. Top panel wouldn't stay closed/made terrible noise when it was on. TV was on top of the fireplace. Little 18" TV far away from the bed. Whirlpool worked fine-no problems there. Bath tub had cigarette burns all along the top. Sheets were a bit "discolored" not stained but they were at one time. Bed was rock hard - not at all pleasant.
Next day went to breakfast. They had free complimentary breakfast. Husband had a cup of juice. Looked down into it and bugs were floating in the juice. Like those little "no-see-ums". Could of been in the cup could of been in the juice - who knows?
Told the worker at the breakfast area. Took the cup from my husband and handed us a clean cup without a word. Thanks for the "apology"!!!
Went on a quick shopping trip before the wedding. Came back to our room about 1pm. OUR DOOR WAS UNLOCKED & OPEN!!!!!
My husband went in first to make sure it was empty. Thank goodness no one was in there. The maid had already made the beds and cleaned up so we know it was her and not our mistake.
We told the woman at the front desk what had happened. Again utter lack of concern on the hotels part. She said the maid probably was still working on the room. "Ah,no it is already clean."
Oh,well if anything is missing let us know. I stood there waiting for "Sorry" got a blank stare instead. No apology...no concern. Thank you,AmericInn!!!
Went to wedding.Came back about midnight after reception. Very loud and boisterous Saturday night.Doors banging, people yelling. We were so tired we didn't care. Just wanted to go to sleep, get up and go home. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY WITH THIS CHAIN!!!!

By boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel and got a Jaquzzi suite. The room was huge and had a big hot tub, fireplace, desk, chair, and table with chairs. The bathroom was big and room was very clean. I enjoyed the room very much. It was a lot of space and comfortable. We even had a few friends over to enjoy cards and drinks! We had a refridgerator and microwave. It was great.

LOVED FLINT AMERICINN

Last autumn I was visiting Flint and was lodged at another hotel until after the event to which I traveled to Flint for. I transferred to the
AMERICINN - Flint mostly because of the more reasonable rates. Little did I realize the glorious surprises in store for me...the room was more
comfortable and conventiently located, the location of the facility was more easily accessible for me in driving in and out, AND...the morning breakfast offerings made me NOT want to leave. Not only was the food prepared by ourselves to our own style, but the atmosphere in the little public breakfast area was congenial to reading one's newspaper or meeting other residents of the hotel. I at all times felt secure and content at the Flint-AmericInn. I'll return to Flint AND to AmericInn as soon as possible!! ThankYou...
