I really liked this hotel. I travelled for business and I can honestly say I’ve never stayed anywhere as nice.
The staff were courteous, friendly and had fantastic English.
My room was warm comfortable and very clean.
All of the facilities were impeccable.
I think the staff in the restaurant need a little more training in serving or getting around to serving people and the breakfast area could do with a refurbishment. However the food was very nice so it made up for everything.
The location again is fantastic, right in the heart of everything.
Can honestly say if I’m back in Turku (for whatever reason) I’ll be staying there.
there.

We, two adults and two rather small children, stayed at Hamburger Bors in Turku for one night after a boat trip from Stockholm to Turku. The location is really nice with the big square just outside. There are some restaurants very closeby and the hotels also has its own restaurant, where unfortuantely the service was a bit slow and they also misunderstood the order. But it worked out fine in the end.
The hotel itself had very spacious rooms. Breakfast that was included in our price, was a buffet breakfast with what you need for a good start of the day. Check in and check out went very smoothly and after we checked out to go to Moominvalley in Naantali, we could store our luggage in a luggage room at the hotel.
I can really recommend the hotel if you want to stay for one or two nights in Turku.

Overall, my stay in Turku was enjoyable, but that had little to do with the hotel. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of most everything in Turku. However the hotel is very large and only has one lift, so you can spend a lot of time waiting. The room was very large, but needed updating and they only offer feather pillows (which is an issue for those of us with allergies). The breakfast was average and the temperature in the room was difficult to control. There hotel does have a lot to offer in terms of restaurants and bars on the ground floor and they were all very nice, but this was definitely the best thing about the hotel. I would have to think twice before staying here again.

I've stayed at the Sokos Hotel Hamburger Börs on 2 occacions and I've been satisfied both times. It's right in the center of Turku, shops at your doorstep and a short walk to the sights. The service at the reception has always been efficient and friendly.
The buffet breakfast is quite the same as in any good hotel in Finland, be sure to taste the Carelian pastries, a Finnish favourite. My favourites are the fresh sliced vegetables you can put on your morning sandwiches.
The first time I stayed I was staying with children and had a large, spacious room, excellent for when travelling with small children. The 2nd time we had a regular sized room, with hardwood floors. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfy, so nothing to complain about there.
A bonus is the -10% discount you get from purchases from the nearby Sokos Wiklund, so if you're a tourist visiting Finland it might be a good idea to get souveniers there.
We had drinks on two occacions at the Börs Bar, the service was ok, Finnish style, ie. nothing special. But it's a nice peaceful place to sit and talk without blaring music.
We also went to the Night club which seems to be very popular in Turku, it was packed! The queue was really long but since we were living in the hotel we were able to go straight in without paying anything. Apparently they open up the bars and restaurants to become one in the evening, so if you fancy and Irish bar one minute and then want to dance at a night club the second, you can easily switch places. It was hard to get service at the Night club, so in the end we got fed up and left. Too few waiters working the bar.
We had the late lounge buffet at Fransmanni restaurant, went there around 2 am, a great idea - food for late night party people. The time we were there it was served from 1-3am. The food there was nothing to rave about but good enough to fill your belly with. The service was very good though.
If you arrive with your own car, they have parking space at the hotel and at Wiklund's parking hall across the street.
I really like this hotel and will stay there again.
