The hotel was adequate but nothing special. More suitable for business travellers rather than tourists. It is right by the Train and Bus stations.
I was disappointed by the service in the restaurant. I had hoped for a pleasant evening meal with relatives and friends who live in Jyvaskyla. The service was poor. The meal took to long between ordering and coming to the table. - Do not order the house wine in the restaurant, it is very much overpriced.

I recently stayed here on business. The rooms reminded me of Ikea- basic and practical. The hotel was very clean. The staff friendly. This is a fairly large hotel whose clients are primarily business people. They do small conferences too. No real frills but the rooms are more than adequate and quiet. There was no AC. but no need for it either! I had a door to a balcony which I left open but the window in my room didnt open. This was not a problem given the weather. However, when I was not in my room or when sleeping I closed the door as there was no locked screen on the door or other security mechanism. One of my collegues didnt have a balcony; the window did open and it felt much safer. If I had stayed longer, I would have asked to have my room changed. This maybe a consideration for other women traveling alone.
