This hotel was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The service was just as awful. The people at the front desk were so rude, that should have been my first sign that something was not right. The property is very dated and needs a major overhaul. I traveled with 3 other couples and all of our rooms were dirty. There were huge stains on the carpet, stains on the coverlet on the bed (I can only image what kind of stain it was), stains on the furniture and you have to call on a daily basis to get the things you need from housekeeping such as toilet paper! I can’t believe they are a Sheridan property and they should be put on some kind of probation.

After staying at the Hilton in Key Largo for 2 nights, which was like staying at the Hotel from "The Shinning", the Sheraton Suites was a much welcomed change. Shelly at the pool bar was great and offered alot of tips for 1st time Key Wester's. Suite was roomy and bathroom was recently upgraded. The pool is nice and if you pay attention it has a resident iguana which strolls out around noon spends the afternoon in one of the bushes and strolls back around 4:00. He liked being fed the flowers from the bush. Restauarunt is adequate. Parking is free, and they do have a shuttle which will take you downtown, the only thing is you need to make reservations ahead of time for both trips down and back. If you are leaning towards this location because of the beach across the street, beware the beaches is Key West aren't that great, and this one has a bit of a foul smell which we sometimes could smell at night while sitting on our balcony. Overall it was a clean place worthy of the cost and would highly recommend it.

This was our second time staying here. This time, we stayed here for eight nights. You can’t beat the size of the rooms, location (directly across from the nicest beach on the island), and the reasonable (for Key West, with a discount) rates. The Sheraton is located far from downtown, so this may be a positive or negative depending on the kind of vacation you are looking for. We give this hotel a moderate rating for the following reasons:
1. Housekeeping was sporadic at best. We would frequently see room service trays and other service items left in our hallway for more than 24 hours. It may sound like a nit pick, but the provided bath products were of a low quality.
2. There is one tiny “closet” inside the sink area to hang up your clothes. Given the size of the room, that’s a pretty small space. We ended up living out of our suitcases.
3. The free shuttle bus to downtown now requires tickets to be reserved in advance. Reservations for the desirable times are often unavailable as there are usually only 16 seats available for the shuttle.
4. The business center consists of two terminals and printers located at the end of the bar in the hotel restaurant. The internet is free, but often there was always a wait to use them. Those using them seemed oblivious to those waiting to quickly check their email. The printers were also free, but had “Out of Order” signs posted on them from our second night forward and were still broken when we departed 6 days later (so much for printing out our boarding passes).
5. If you are fishing in Key West and are looking forward to the restaurant preparing your catch (a very common thing in Key West), do not even think of asking the over-priced and always-empty hotel restaurant.
6. The rooms have two televisions (one flat screen and one tube) but both of them are locked and unable to accept any external input from a camcorder or DVD player. Leave your Playstation or Xbox at home.
7. The hotel is also located next to some kind of preserve area. Depending on the direction of the wind (or the lack of it) there is sometimes a strong methane odor in and around the outside of the hotel.
