I just came back from 3 days in Philadelphia, my foot still hurting from hitting an object that was sticking from the bed in my room(a bed frame part). The same happened to my wife in the second room the previous day, I only reported when it happened to me. We had 2 rooms for us and the kids. The manager said she was sorry for that and will check the beds.
It was a chess tournament and the 6 elevators hardly worked as they should. How about waiting 15 minutes and more to get the elevator.
You will pay $30 for parking. We paid $5 as a deal for the chess tournament.
Very small swimming pool taking into account the size of the hotel.
Great location with expensive restaurant (Phillips seafood) still you will need to use car/bus/metro to go around.

Stayed here one night June 6th 2008. We had stayed here previously (last summer) and were happy with the hotel, so when I found a great rate ($120) through Continental Airlines, we booked it again. Parking is an additional $30 per day.
We were in Philly for a mini-reunion, had an activity planned for Chinatown the next morning. This hotel is in a great central location. Check in was quick, easy & pleasant.
The room seemed clean. No major problems. There is an indoor pool which my daughter loved! Now for the negatives:
The elevators are slow & some of them have doors that seem to get stuck a bit. We didnt get trapped or anything, but they are a bit scary!
We were given a room DIRECTLY across from the ice machine. (Maybe because of the rate we got?) I probably should have asked to move but I was so tired at checkin that I didnt want to go to the trouble. This location was a bit noisy, with guests coming to get ice at all hours - the machine is noisy, people talk loudly & slam doors. Yikes! Does anyone have any consideration for other people anymore?
This property is very popular with big groups/conventions - there was a group of ministers and some bicycle racers there during our stay. The lobby can get pretty crowded at times.
Also, the sheets were terrible - seemed to be very low quality/thread count! They were scratchy & uncomfortable. I have never encountered this at a hotel before! Yes, I am picky about sheets, but my husband is not - he can sleep on anything - and he also commented that the sheets were uncomfortable.
The bathroom seemed clean but the toilet paper holder was completely broken and the toilet paper just placed on the counter. No big deal but just makes the place seem a bit shabby.
We didnt get room service here - very pricey. Plenty of food options nearby.
One nice touch here is the maids have left you a package of "Forget Me Not" Flower seeds. Cute!
All in all, an OK stay, but I probably will book somewhere else next time we are in Philly. This hotel needs some upgrades, including softer sheets!

Convenient and comfortable

We had a very pleasant stay overnight for a weekend of museum visits. The hotel was clean, the staff efficient and the food through room service plentiful and tasty. The room was large and comfortable.
The fitness room was very well-equipped and the pool was clean and a good temperature.
Checking in and out were efficient. We were mostly interested in a convenient location and this was walking distance to all of the museums and sites that we wanted to see. We also found good reasonable places to eat near-by.
Our only complaints are that the parking is expensive ($30 for the day - there are cheaper options near by but we only had 24 hours so did not want to spend time looking around for it), and also that there was some loud noise from other guests who were partying late at night. The hotel is large and there was at least one big function going on. However the noise issue was quickly addressed.
We found a good price through the hotel website and would certainly stay here again.
Good stay
