When I checked in to this hotel I got an unexpected surprise - an upgrade to the club level. The suites on that floor (17) were very nicely furnished with upscale amenities. Because I was on the club level, I also had access to the club lounge on the 18th floor... which included a so-so selection of snacks in the evening and free access to a computer (albeit with a printer that was not working).
Front desk was generally accommodating... some more friendly than others.
Best thing about the hotel is its location within walking distance of Country Club Plaza. Don't miss Jack Stack's barbeque and the burnt ends!

I stayed here for business. The room was fine, but the tv's (both of them) buzzed. Also, the room was cold, even though I had the thermostat at 85. The windows leaked cold air.
The breakfast was friendly, but not good. The warm food at the buffet looked like it had been sitting their for hours. The coffee was not strong enough.
The front desk was not very friendly.
I know it sounds like I did not like this place and it's only partly true. There was simply nothing that stood out as being good.
I'm going to try out the Marriott the next time I stay here.

I stayed at this property on business. The entire staff is excellent. The rooms were very clean and included a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was comfortable. My wake-up calls came through on time each morning. The workout room was small but well equipped and the indoor pool was clean. The bartender could not have been more friendly and dining room staff were well trained. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Lunch was so-so (fries were cold and soup was overly salty). I ate dinner outside of the hotel (Houston's is a very nice restaurant within walking distance). Our conference room was well appointed and the staff appeared regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. My only dislikes were no wireless (must use an ethernet cable for internet connectivity) and housekeeping did not replace the soap, shampoo, etc. All and all this was one of the best hotel stays I have experienced and I look forward to returning.

Great location in Kansas City. Walking distance to restaurants and shops from moderately priced to high end.
Friendly staff.
Suite was spacious with separate bedroom. Two televisions. Nice bathroom. Fridge.
Nice decor, solid colors (I'm not a big fan of hotel floral).
Room service is so-so. Go out instead.
Little pricey.
Had to pay to park.
