A little tired for a relatively new hotel

We stayed at the Scandic Eremitage for three nights because it was a short walk to our friends home and made our visit with them easier - and besides that - they booked it for us.
The hotel is quite tired looking. The outside of the hotel could really use some paint or a good cleaning with a pressure hose. Unfortunately, all rooms shared the same balcony and if you left your door open, anyone could access your room from theirs since there was no dividers between rooms.
The rooms were ok and furnished in a "modern" style. Our floor was wood so you could see where they had cleaned and not cleaned. Basically the room was clean, but because it was tired, it might give the impression of being otherwise. For example, the sink had a crack in it and the shower head sprayed water every which way. But, over all the room was tolerable.
The breakfast was included in our room rate and it was a decent, well prepared breakfast buffet. The staff were helpful, polite and spoke English - a real plus when you don't speak Danish.
My overall impression of this hotel is that it definitely needs to be referbished and soon.

I have been travelling a lot in my profession and I have seen some really nasty things during my military service. But I need to say that this is one of the filthiest hotels that I have ever visited. Despites it’s a fairly modern hotel one could wonder if they have ever been cleaning the rooms. Especially the bathroom was really disgusting. The water drain from the shower could never have been cleaned, the toilet was very dirty. After walking in my bare socks on the hotel room they where more then black.
I would not recommend this hotel to any one; there are definitely better ones within the area.

Worn out

I have visited this hotel many times in the last years. Now I think it was my last visit. I got the price 220 EUR by e-mail in advance. I decided to wait with my reservation until we came to Denmark, and happily the price was now only 132 EUR.Hotel Eremitage is located at Lyngby Storcenter right outside Copenhagen. It's a comfortable location if you have a car, since there is parking under the hotel. Lyngby Storcenter is a mall - so there is also convenient to shop...Quick and easy to take the subway to the city.Sorry to say that the rooms are quite worn out. Rooms have ok size, ok beds but no aircondition. They suggest you open the door to the balcony - but that is not a good idea since anyone on the same floor can walk in and steal your belongings... It was not so nice to spend mid-hot july nights there. They have built a new reception and new restaurant, but the whole appears not as inviting and hospitable as before. Hotel is Scandic (Hilton-owned).We decided to move to Hilton at Kastrup Airport (at only 150 EUR!) - with QUITE a different standard!!!
