This is a typical Scandic, clean average sized rooms and everything like it should be. There are no extra thrills, but neither are there any complaints. The free buffet breakfast is good and offers a large variety. The pricing is very affordable so the value for your money is good.
The location is nearly perfect just a block off the Lake Saimaa and at least my room had a partial view to the lake. Everything is within a walking distance. Hotel has a free garage and a large free parking lot, not that parking would be a problem in Lappeenranta.
There is a free sauna and a jacuzzi on the top floor.

My theory is that there are no bad hotels in Finland. I have been in about a dozen - all were quite comfortable, I hardly recall anything to complain about.
This hotel is a good example of a Finnish hotel. In comparison to its competitors I'd say that the rooms are more spacious than usual and the surroundings are more pleasant (a lake nearby)
And as usually in Finland - free buffet breakfast, free internet access, free parking and excellent Finnish bed linen.
