Von innen sieht das Hotel viel schöner aus als auf den Außenbildern. Die Außenansicht erinnert an eine schräge Metall- und Glaszeit aus den 70ern, und ich war leicht besorgt darüber, hier zu wohnen. Ich habe in unterschiedlichen Scandic-Hotels übernachtet, und dieses hat eines der besten Zimmer. Mein Zimmer war schön und sauber, und es gab sogar einen großen Flachbildfernseher! Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Autobahn E16, aber es war keinerlei Lärm von all dem Verkehr zu hören. Ich hatte ein Auto, aber wenn man die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel benutzen möchte, gibt es eine Bushaltestelle in der Nähe, und vom Bahnhof Blumholmen aus, der 15 Minuten Fußweg entfernt liegt, gelangt man zum Zentrum von Oslo. In der Sauna kann man sich gut erholen, nachdem man den ganzen Tag gelaufen ist.

The hotel inside looks much nicer than the outside picture. The outside look reminds of some weird 70s era of metal and glass and I was slightly concerned about straying there. I stayed in several Scandic hotels and this one has one of the best rooms, however. Nice and clean inside, mine had a wide screen flat panel TV too! It's located right next to the E16 highway, yet there was no noice from the traffic whatsoever. I had a car but if you want to use public transportation there's a bus stop nearby and Blumholmen train station that will take you to central Oslo is about 15 min walking distance. The sauna inside provides a nice relaxation after a day spent walking.

I stay here occasionally because of its great location on the E18 just outside Oslo. The hotel is convenient, clean and fully equiped. It's not the newest Scandic however, and could use a bit of refurbishing. Parking: Free outside parking Rooms: typical wooden Scandic style, convenient and clean. Bathroom is very basic and old - but everything works fine. Restaurant: good Bar: nice Good business hotel, less advisable for leisure.
