Stayed here for 3 nights last week. The hotel seemed like a nice large property on the net and also fairly close to the main train station so booked it even though it was close to US$ 370 a night!
The hotel needs renovation badly. Copenhagen is an expensive city, but still the guests paying as much need some decent ambience and feel in the hotel.
The breakfast buffet is large and fairly stocked, the rooms large enough...no complaints there. The problem is the hotel seems firmly placed in the mid eighties with its peeling linoleum carpets and rough texture walls.
The location is pretty okay, a 5-10 minutes walk to the main train station (about DKK 50) by taxi. There are lots of shopping on the Stroget which is also about 5-10 minutes away. Tivoli which is in front the of the train station is also the same distance.
The internet is free, but do not let that fool you. It is so seethingly slow that it was almost useless.
Overall I was not utterly dissatisfied with my stay but expected a bit more value for the money I was paying!

I was apprehensive about this hotel, as the rating had dropped considerably between my booking and my arrival. However, I found it to be a very good base for my few days in Copenhagen. It is 5 minutes walk from the railway station, 10 minutes from Tivoli and the centre. My room was on the executive floor (GBP143pn), was well-appointed and clean. Hot drinks were made available on that floor each afternoon, which was a nice touch.
A major downside was breakfast. Scandic Hotels provide a huge buffet breakfast, but the eating area at this hotel, though large, was very crowded and not-at-all relaxing.
The bar and restaurant and other public areas were pleasant.

I stayed at this hotel after having escaped the Hotel Neptun Copenhagen. It was very difficult to get a second room in Copenhagen on this night but I had to escape the dirty and hyginically unsafe Neptun and then the Scandic ended up my only choice. The hotel was a huge improvement - clean and more like a hotel with an actual lobby - typical tourist hotel. The kind where the airline crew stay and lost of bus tourists. This is not really a business hotel. The room was ok and clean but the bathroom really needed an upgrade. It was really worn down.
If you cannot get a room at a better hotel like the Radissons or Hilton then this Scandic will do nicely for one nigth.

We stayed 3 days at this hotel. It is located close by to the main train station, Tivoli and a metro line. The front desk staff were very polite and extremely helpful. The room was ok, save the bathroom. The bathroom was outdated, dark and had a bath tub that had such a high lip that you almost needed a running start to get into. The towels were thread bare and soaps are the wall mounted liquid kind. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi worked excellent. Breakfast is served in a huge room and has an incredible variety. It is well stocked and staffed. The restaurant bar had no scene and was expensive (as was Copenhagen in general). We had a high floor room that overlooked Tivoli and the main street. At times it was a bit noisy when people were leaving the bars -- not too bad though. This was an ok hotel.

Stayed for one night in July. I reserved an economy room, but the room was very good - honestly I don't why it was called economy room since the room was excellent! Breakfast was excellent, as well and view was nice.
Only complaint I had was about the bathroom. There is mould and smell of it in the bathroom. Seams of wall and floor tiles had mould spots, and smell was very unpleasant. There is clearly a structural damages with excess moisture in the bathroom's structures.
