Good deal
Guest name: tojo77, Finland
The hotel was very well worth the money. We had a big family room with huge beds for 77?/night incl. good buffet breakfast. Location is very peaceful and nice with scenery over the lakes and nice places to hike just next to the hotel.
Bad things:
* VERY COLD water in the swimming pool
* Very dirty and bad smelling public sauna
* Very bad service at breakfast
But with this price is very recommendable especially for families and people with own car, even though there goes a bus to downtown as well!
Another good Finnish Hotel

As I already said before, I did not see such a thing as a bad hotel in Finland.
This is another example, and this is the best hotel I stayed in Tampere (among 3)
Scandic Rosendahl is sort of congress hotel - it's located separately from the city center, in the green area, near the lake. The hotel itself is very spacious, and besides usual hotel functions, has a swimming pool, a gym and a number of other things that I did not try.
As usually in Finland, you get breakfast, parking and wifi internet included in the price.

Great setting but ugly interior decoration

Last April for business reasons I visited Tampere. The specific hotel is located in a very beautiful setting, and at that time it was full of snow.
As nice the exterior environment looked from outside, that unpleasant was the interior. The decoration and colours were not at all nice. Actually they must be left the same for over a decade...
It is a pity as in other things it was really nice as for: the setting that was mentioned before, and the friendly staff. Also I should add that a small old snooker table was available in the lobby and it was for free!
A comment should also be made for the breakfast which had many things (but nothing for my taste) like fish and meat (not a breakfast for me) maybe they should add some more sweet things I guess!
A tip for everyone visiting Tampere is to visit and maybe eat in Restaurant Näsinneula the Tampere Observation Tower where you can have the best 360’ view of the lake and city!!!
