I was here for 3 nights in March. The room was fair with a large bed but very small toilet/shower room. On the top floor I could see for miles (when the rain allowed). Staff are very pleasant and professional. Free internet access from the room is available by asking for a password at the desk.
There is a comfortable lounge area and a good restaurant. A wide choice is offered for breakfast. I wouldn't recommend the McDonalds next door ... totally disorganised! You can drive from this hotel to the city centre within about 10-15 minutes. Fine for all.

Really not worth DKK1400. Poor rooms, poor facilities, poor service. Prefer staying in town or at the Hilton at the Airport which sometimes offer the same price range.

Not a place I’d choose to stay

Arrival: This was the first (and last) hotel we stayed at as part of a 13 day “Highlights of Scandinavia” Trafalgar Cost Saver trip. As such we didn’t have to deal directly with the staff for check-in. The staff however organised our rooms quite promptly and we were checked in within minutes.
Location: The hotel is situated a fair way out of Copenhagen on a fairly busy main road and next door to a large Service Station. There’s plenty of parking, seeing as this essentially is a very large motel. There is a small supermarket and a McDonalds across the road from the service station and if you cross the main road at the lights (120m from hotel) there’s a bus stop where the bus 1A stops and for 28 DKK pp you can take a 20 min trip into the centre of town.
Accommodation: The hotel is seven stories high and on our first stay, we were lucky enough to get a top floor unit facing the back neighbours (a very serene neighbourhood of small houses). Second time around we were also on the back of the hotel but unfortunately stuck in a 2nd floor room overlooking the tar roof of another part of the hotel, which butted directly up against our room. The rooms both had timber flooring (both needing a good mop, looked like they had only ever been dusted and not very well) in a fairly small bedroom which really only had just enough room for a small table and two chairs. The walls and ceiling also needed a good clean and the lamp shades 2nd time around were quite badly stained. The beds and pillows were both very comfortable, although the extra pillow (cover) in the cupboard of the first room was very mouldy. The rooms also contained a small bar fridge stocked with a few supplies ie Coke 25cl – 22DKK & Spirits 5cl – 49DKK. All other linen and towels were clean. The showers both had mould in the corners, however the pressures and heat were ok to good. The bathroom on our second stay however was a bit of a mess, with the toilet flush pad completely missing from the wall meaning having to reach inside the wall cavity to press on the plastic arm in order to flush the toilet. The hand basin had many cracks and 3 quite large burn marks from cigarettes. The only nice aspect was the hinged shower screen door, which contained the shower spray very nicely and then swung into the shower area to give more room in the bathroom. We also happened to stay the second time during a bit of a heat wave and with no air conditioning, there was no way to cool the room down (the tar roof outside the window didn’t help much with the small breeze we did get through). Don’t expect tissues, do expect liquid soap, hair dryer and TV and a bit of noise from the neighbouring rooms.
Food: We only had breakfast here, twice. First time around we were really very surprised at how good it was. Unfortunately the second time we entered just after the feeding frenzy of another tour group had departed. Dirty tables and dishes everywhere and virtually nothing to eat. It took the staff another 15 min to start clearing the mess up and after 30min we left and still hardly any food had been replenished. This really was very disappointing after the first days breakfast, which really was very good in quality, quantity and variation.
Service: Make sure you lock the door from the inside when ever you stay as we had the Mini Bar checker barge into the room, no knocking and no apology.
Overall: Not a place I’d choose to stay but we’ve been to a lot worse and for a couple of one night stays as part of a tour, I could put up with the lack of room cleanliness.
Tip: If you’re considering doing this tour and want to see reviews of other hotels, the next hotel we stayed at was Scandic Kungens Kurva, (of course by myself - GR8FUN).

We stayed here for 2 nights - it looks great on the website but in reality totally different. We arrived to find litter all over the grounds and car park, the bins outside were overflowing with rubbish and looked like they hadn't been emptied for weeks. When we got to the reception (after travelling for 6 hours to get there) we had another wait as there was no one in reception. When eventually someone turned up there was no apology or friendly greeting and we were given our room keys. The corridors were in desperate need of redecoration and we were dreading what our room was going to be like. Luckily it was ok and clean, although no air conditioning and so warm and stuffy. There was only one pillow in the double bed and we later asked at reception for some more, only to be told they had run out!!! The ice machines on all the floors were broken, the 'gym' consists of a running machine, a stepper, a bike and a rowing machine and as for unwinding in the swimming pool, I have never been in one so cold! The one good thing was the breakfast with a good selection of meats, cheese, breads, cereal, fruit etc. and the price - we stayed in a family room so for 2 adults & 2 children it wasn't too bad. Overall, I would say if you're on a budget and going to be out sightseeing all day it would be bearable but we shan't be going back.

Great Hotel, rip off phone charges

We stayed at this hotel on September the 1st and 2nd and booked two twin rooms which seemed to bemuse the receptionist.
Use bus 1A from the central station and do not be tempted to use the combined rail and bus routes as they take ages.
I think we must have stayed at a different hotel compared to some of the other descriptions.
The rooms are of a good size (I have stayed in many hotels and this was one of the larger rooms) with a nice sized bathroom but as mentioned before the shower screen doesn't keep all the water out of the rest of the bathroom but neither does it flood it, and I bruised my fingers when it shut quickly.
If you want a good nights sleep ask for a room at the back as the road at the front is used by noisy motorbikes and of course as it is near the hospital also ambulances with sirens blaring.
The breakfast is good with both hot and cold selection and plenty of juices, tea and coffee and pastries.
The only problem came at checkout when I was charged for three phone calls when I had made only one successful one. I was charged for the one that didn't connect and for one call that I did not make. The rate charged was astrinomical as well, being about twice as much as using a mobile!!!
Overall the stay was good but watch out for any extra charges.
