A friend and myself stayed at this hotel in June 08. The location is excellent, just a stones throw from the centre of town. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance (The Abseit sports bar was our favourite),. The hotel bar is expensive but the atmosphere was good as the football was on and the bar staff were really friendly. There is a small pool in the hotel to shake off your hangover and a restaurant. The rooms are large, extremely clean and all the staff were efficient and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all and although Lubeck is small there are plenty of points of interest to keep one entertained.

Booked through Expedia for $70 for a superior double room. Excellent hotel within walking distance of the old town of Lubeck. The room was enormous by European standards. Nice touch of Lubeck marzipan chocolates in the room. Very clean, comfortable, everything that a hotel should be. Great breakfast. Lubeck is a real gem. Have not expected it, but we fell in love with this city. So well preserved, so many beautiful houses. Would love to come back to, and would choose this Scandic again without any hesitation.

We recently stayed here for two nights using our Hilton honours points. The hotel is at the edge of the town and about ten minutes walk to the centre. Check in was fine, we were upgraded to a business room with a balcony overlooking the park which is next to the hotel. Disappointingly there was only a shower and not a bath but it was a very large walk in shower. The room was large and spotlessly clean with two queen beds and a single bed. All those beds but only one armchair. There is free internet access in the business lounge which was usually available. The breakfast was ok, not the best scandic we’ve ever had but it was ok. The food trays were constantly refilled. The restaurant was good, we ate there one evening and enjoyed a reasonable meal for a reasonable price. There is a swimming pool in the basement which I used about four times in the short time we were there and only once did I see anyone else using it. It seemed a bit spooky at first as there is no windows but I soon got used to it and it was beautifully warm. All the staff that we met were extremely helpful and courteous and if we were to revisit Lubeck then we would happily stay there again

A great hotel located a few steps from the Burgtor Gate. Now associated with the Hilton brand, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. Friendly, courteous staff attended to all our needs. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The breakfast buffet was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Check out totalstay or wguides for good prices.
