We stayed at this large hotel for two nights together with m family (9 persons). It was a very messy check in, we had booked superior rooms (the only available) but they couldn't provide us these and messed it up. I spoke to the duty manager and she solved the situation and compensate us very well. She was friendly and nice during whole our stay. The other staff was rude...
The hotel itself are very old and have dark, boring and unfriendly room. It was good cleaning but missing all of what I can expect from a hotel that try to be a four star hotel.
The lobby and common area was busy and crowded, upon check out/in I felt the mass production of hotel business was clearly aware. The same in the breakfast room and in the bar for the evening.
The location are great - but if you can, try to stay somewhere else. It's not a nice hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location, but it should go under renovation, as rooms and bathrooms are not up to scandic standards. Breakfast is very good, even if overcrowded.

The location is very good, in the middle of everything. Most of the hotelrooms are however dated and the corridors looks in need of a major restoration. I booked a superiour family room. The room was redecorated but not finished..I wonder who got the stupid idea to make a small window between the bathroom and the rest of the room? If someone needs to visit the toilet in the middle of the night and prefer some light..the rest of the room lights up as well..The service was poor, I asked for some teabags day one and when I had not received them the afternoon day 2, I asked the staff in the lobby - they were not very interested..
The cleaninglady came around 3 pm day two and asked if we wanted her to clean the room. We asked her to make the beds at least, she looked very disappointed and clearly stated by her body language that we should have done that ourselves..
Some positive things: the breakfast is great and the bar food as well! The shrimpsandwich is fantastic! I frequently stayed at Scandic Hotel since they were part of Hilton Group. Now when they are sold, I will probably find another hotel chain.

I stayed with this hotel as part of a tour I did of Scandanavia with Globus Tours. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I found their reception people to be very helpful. They helped me make change when I needed it and they were able to direct me to where their free internet terminals were. The hotel is also very conveniently located to a large mall and was only about 10 minutes walking from the center of town.
That said, I found the room small, poorly decorated and I couldn't get the air conditioning to work in the room. I also found their service to be poor in their dining room.

This hotel has a really good location, BUT its not up to date. The breakfast is really good when its not crowded as on of ou days, and the property has a swimmingpool.
Its really like the most scandic hotels I have lived at, ok, but no more.
We booked a superior room with doublebed and bath tub as written on their website, got a old double room with a open door to a singel room, without a bathtub. This is really not a superior room I asked the man downstairs, but he insisted.... I had to go in a discussion and after some talking I got a new room which was bigger, but no double bed.
If you get this hotel really cheap, go ahead... but remember its not up-to-date.
