Travelling south on I-5 we originally planned to sleep in Eugene, but we called a few hotels there and they were all sold out, so we randomly selected an exit and got to Roseburg. Out of the 3 choices we saw there, we tried the Super 8 first, and it seemed good enough for a quick stop. The price was reasonable too. Overall, it was much better than we expected considering other Super 8 motels we've seen (although this was the first time we actually stayed in one). The room was very clean and quite large. The bathroom was OK too. For breakfast they only had bagels and muffins, along with coffee and juice, but that wasn't too bad. They also had a nice little pool that the kids were happy to try before we left in the morning.

I have been listening to the TV in the next room. I can understand every word. This morning on the other side I understood every word spoken into a telephone. The free WiFi is very complicated to turn on. The young girl at the front desk said some rooms don't get reception. I finally got my computer to work by trying lots of clicking here and there. I don't really understand how I got it to work. The girl at the desk has less computer knowledge than I do. The "Super Start" breakfast is very basic. Not enough seating space. But the price is right! No freeway noise due to a burm/hill of earth. Clean room.

Stayed one night at the Roseburg Super 8. The room was perfactly adequite, comfortable and clean, but could have been more updated, I have been to nicer Super 8s. The breakfast wasn't spectacular either, the orange juice was sour and the coffee was no good. There was a nice list of nearby resturants in the room, we tried Applebees, but two out of the three of us didn't like the food very much. Not the best motel in Roseburg, but I wouldn't completly rule it out if you want to stay someplace inexpensive.
