We booked only 1 night at this pleasant hotel in the middle of nowhere while heading West. We were welcomed at check-in with cookies and coffee.
The rooms are large and ours had a fridge and microwave although all do not. They were clean. The hotel has 2 pools - 1 indoors and 1 outdoors.
The entire property was clean and welcoming. AND the price was good too.

We checked out some of the other motels in Sterling and chose this Best Western. We were happy with our choice and had a great experience here. We stayed here twice- on our way to Rocky Mt. national park and on our way back home to Wisconsin. Don't let the exterior facade fool you, it has a different looking design than most, but it is quite nice inside. You can drive to your door and/or also access your room from inside the motel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Above average for sure. I don't remember the beds being hard as some reviewers have said. It has a great outdoor pool that my kids loved as well as an indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was quite good too. There was belgian waffles, bagels, coffee cake, danishes, toast, cereal and fresh fruit. Far better than what a lot of other places offer. Oh yeah and there were fresh homade chocolate chip cookies at the front desk! I've never seen that at other places either. Staff was very friendly too. It's a great place to stay and I will definetly stay there again.

Unexpected Stay

During a freak May blizzard, I found myself stranded in Sterling, CO. I stayed at the Best Western at the advice of a local resident at a nearby business.
I found it to be a nice oasis in the storm. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, which is the most important thing. The only aspect I would change is the bed. It was not comfortable. However, given the choice of being stranded in my car at an interstate rest-stop vs. a hard bed, I'll take the bed anytime.
I would recommend this property to others.
Good Hotel

This was a nice stop on our way to California on a road trip. The hotel looks old from the outside, but is very new in the inside. It was really clean and the rooms are spacious and brand new. My only complaint is the beds are rock hard! The staff are very nice and breakfast was really good! The host is really sweet and the fresh biscuits and gravy were wonderful. I would stay here again.
Not worth the money

We stayed without a reservation, so the only room left was a 3 bed with NO windows. It was very strange. Although it was pretty clean, it was VERY run down. We paid $100 for one night and expected more. The ceiling had been patched several times and it had an odd odor. The complimentary breakfast was worthless. The front desk employee was spectacular: efficient and friendly. I would have given more stars if we had paid $50-70 for the room.
