The room and bathroom were super clean!! The bed was so comfortable we overslept. The front desk was accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is the typical homestyle breakfast - the eating area was very clean. We were pleased after a long day in the car to find a good hotel rate and a very clean room! Loved their restaurant recommendation - Cavillos! We would stay there again!

Late start from Santa Fe, N.M. to Aspen, Co. so decided to stay over on the way. This Best Western was much better then expected. Room seemed new or remodled, perfectly clean, good breakfast, and very friendly and helpful desk people. Brought us a free bag of ice for the cooler. Some charming outside benches to sit and sip coffee before departing.

A STAFF MEMBER WENT INTO MY ROOM AND STOLE ALL MY MONEY. When notified about the incident, the manager and the owner accused ME of lying (later, I came to find out that is the treatment ANY victim of robbery - which happens quite often - receives at this hotel). I know for a fact they have how to check all the keys used in any room for up to a month, but THEY DIDN'T EVEN CONSIDER LOOKING INTO IT. The only action they took was to FIRE THE ONLY STAFF MEMBER WHO TREATED ME WITH DIGNITY. There's no words to describe how it feels to lose all my savings of months, which I acquired with so much hard work, and, on top of it, be treated as if I was the "crook".

Don't be fooled - the picture on their website is of the modern lobby building which is of rather recent construction. The hotel however is from the 50's - brick construction and quite dated. The room smelled musty. Everything was dated, the decor, bed and bedding, the carpet. The only positive we can say is it was clean. The best thing to do to this place is to knock it down and build an up to date facility. We checked out about an hour after finding much more modern (and friendly) facilities down the road. When we checked out the staff was rude and stated this was the "first" time someone ever complained. Based on previous reviews that statement was not accurate. At least we were told we would not be charged for our stay. My fault for not checking with Trip Advisor first!
