Decent budget hotel centrally located between downtown and north San Diego. Very close to several local attractions (Zoo, Balboa Park, Seaworld, downtown, etc)
Free continental breakfast included, although it's your usual half-hearted attempt at a breakfast we find so frequently at budget hotels now: juice, danishes, and cereal.
Wifi throughout the hotel.
Rooms were clean and quiet.

It was a splendid summer vacation that my cousin’s family and I took in California. After surfing around the web, we chose to stay at the Best Western Golden Triangle Inn for 4 days and 3 nights while in San Diego.
The staff was cordial and had us checked in within 5 minutes. Upon entering our room, I noticed that it very clean and neat, which is a must have criteria for me. The room we stayed in had two king beds, a mini-fridge and a 25” TV, along with the baby crib we requested. With all the furniture, appliances and our luggage, the room became a bit cramped, even though it is a larger room compare to most motels I stayed at during our CA trip. The bed I had was comfortable and I was able to relax after full days at Sea World and Legoland.
The motel is conveniently located with various types of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We counted no less than 30 restaurants and fast food joints within 10 minutes driving distance. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast which consisted of muffins, coffee, cereals, fresh orange juice, milk and boiled eggs. The kids enjoyed the breakfast; I’d probably have had outside breakfast for a change if staying longer than a week.
I would stay there again if traveling to San Diego with my friends or family. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning travel to San Diego.

The place is convinienty located off highway 805. Rooms are clean, staff is couteous and morning break-fast is superb. I had forgotten razor, so when I asked about it at the front desk, the person checked with me if I would like the shaving cream too. That was good to go that extra step to satisfy customers. Break-fast is much better than most other places - quantity and quality of everything they had was more than satisfactory. The only compaint I have is their pillows are huge and hard, so it left my neck uncomortable. They don't have any software or smaller pillows as replacements. Barring that complaint, I was very happy with our stay for two nights. I recommend the place to anyone going to SD area. We went to Sea World, and the hotel is barely 10 minutes drive. Oh one more thing - great restaurants are nearby, so that is very convinient, too! For vegetarians, there is a vegetarian fusion cafe across the street.

We arrived sooner than check-in time, and indeed they made us wait until a little before 3 pm before we could get our room. So no early arrivals. Once we got our room keys, we made our way to the second floor via elavator (we were too lazy to walk up the stairs). The room was nice and clean, the bed was a little on the hard side, and I believe because of the renovations, some of the screws to things were loose, the chrome shower fixtures I tightened as much as I could with my hand, the toilet seat moved, and I also noticed toward the end of our stay that the door security latch was loose, which was a bit scary considering many rely on it for safety, I tightened that with tweezers. The parking is narrow like others have said and I found the walls to be too thin. Coming and going from the hotel is a pain in the rear, depending on what direction your headed, everytime we headed back to hotel we had to jump on 805 freeway and make a loop to get back to the other side of the road. Overall the experience at this hotel was good one, if your going to be out of the room most of the day, this is the place for you. I did feel safe and many of the other occupants were groups of families. I would stay again.

You get even less than what you pay for. Yes, this is a clean budget hotel. The rooms are smaller than average, the beds are uncomfortable, but that is to be expected given the price you pay. The real problem with this hotel is that the parking is not only horrendous but DANGEROUS. There is one opening into the parking lot and the width of the actual space between rows is smaller than average. It took about 10 minutes to get in and out of a parking space with a compact car. This is because you simply cannot pull into a space, without doing various back and forth manuevers to make sure you don't hit either the cars on either side or the ones behind you.
In addition, while advertising a free continental breakfast, if you aren't up at 6 AM don't count on seeing it. We went to it at right before 8 AM and it was completely GONE, not even any coffee left. Yet, the management was aware that the hotel was full, but they just put a set amount out and that was it.
The only plus I have for this hotel is that IS clean, and the free wireless internet is a plus.
