Easy to find, the check-in was fast and efficient, the room was clean and medium size, the bed was comfortable, the shower had a good spray, however, the toilet was "loose".
It's next door to a Dairy Queen and gas station, close to shopping malls. Pleasantly surprised by this Super 8 motel.
Definately would stay again.

A good repeat visit

I have stayed at this motel on a number of occasions over the past years, the last time in Feb. of 2008. It is very conveniently located on the west side of Kamloops just off the TransCanada. The rooms are basic but neat and clean. The motel accepts pets for an extra charge (reasonable). It has free WiFi and provides a free continental breakfast which consists of a selection of muffins and juice tea and coffee. The only complaint that I have had is that the halls smell of cigarette smoke. The non smoking rooms themselves do not have a smoky odour. I have never had any problems with eithor booking or billing and have always received polite desk service. The property is well looked after with hedges and a pleasant back lawn. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending it
What a dump.

Yikes! Should have known as soon as we walked in the door, but hope reigned. The joint is getting a stucco facelift, but it's still lipstick on a pig.
Toilet backed up on first use - no we didn't put anything "large" down there. A nice Mount Vesuvius overflow on the bathroom floor - eck! Called the front desk, a guy showed up to look at it and accused us of plugging it! No way, bud, just fix it. So he returns with an armload of towels for us to cleanup the mess. You've gotta be kidding me. Anyway, you know the drill... it's late, there's nowhere else to stay, so you soldier on.
Next morning, nature calls - guess what? A repeat performance. Fascinating way to start your day watching your neighbour's turds doing the jiggy-jiggy in your toilet bowl.
Any adjustment on the price on the way out? Nope. Sure don't recommend this joint.
A footnote: didn't order sausages for breakfast - I wonder why?

The hotel itself and the stay was ok. Not exceptional but ok. And the service was not very good at all. After I returned home (on the opposite side of the country) I found that I was charged both on my credit card (which I had to use to hold the room) and my debit/interact card (which I used to pay for the room before I left). They were not supposed to charge my credit card at all but did. When I contacted them, they were very rude and denied that they even had a record that I stayed there at all. After contacting them several times we agreed that I would fax the debit receipt and the credit card statement showing the error and that they would refund the extra charge. However, it is 2 months later and they still have not taken care of the problem.
