Have been here many times. It's the ONLY place we ever stay. (over the years we were at 3 different motels but we always go bact to the BEST, Super 8 Motel.

We had read the two negative reviews and were concerned, but from arrival to departure, we were happy, comfortable and impressed with this little Super 8. If you want top of the line accomodations, go elsewhere because there aren't any in Brattleboro, VT, but we found this a reasonable place to stay with our two Golden Retrievers, (fees additional), for one night on the way to dog camp. The same woman who handled my reservation also checked us in. She was friendly and helpful. The man on the desk was also great in every respect. It is our understanding that the hotel changed ownership a few months back and that the new owners are redoing everything, although not all at once. Our room was sparkling new in every way, from carpet to bathroom and cleaner than a few $300 a night places I have stayed. Breakfast was super...better than any of the other places we stayed on this trip. Parking is off the street and there are fast food places on either side, as well as some neat restaruants in the area. We paid $79 for two people in the room with two beds, plus $10 each for our two dogs, who are CGC and TDI certified, so there were no issues with having them with us. The total bill, with taxes, (Vermont is Tax Hell), was $107.99, which isn't great for Super 8s in general, but worth it in Brattleboro, I think. One glitch: although I gave them my Rewards card at check in and with the reservation, it was apparently not noted on the ledger. This is a nit, but prevented me from showing a 100% approval rating for this porperty.

One of the rooms I stayed in at this motel had bed bugs. I paid a $45 incidentals and damage deposit for the room above the room rate. I brought the bed bugs problem it to the attention of the night desk clerk. I demanded a refund for the room and to stay at no charge. He then contacted the manager in the middle of the night and the manager authorized for me to be switched to another room and refunded my night's rent. In the morning the owner and the manager refused to give me my deposit back saying I still had to pay for the room. I then told them to call the police because I was being defrauded out of my room deposit but the police did nothing. Do not stay at this dump.

This was my first trip to Brattleboro, and I couldnt of picked a better place to stay. The Hotel was great, clean comfortable, and a great price! The breakfast was first rate with the make your own waffles, fruit, bagels, cereal, ect....The staff was extremely helpful as well. I would definately recomend the Super 8 to anyone.

I stayed at this hotel because of the great reviews on this website. When we arrived, I checked the bathroom and it was filthy. I called to have someone clean it and was told the maid left for the day (4 PM). I asked for something to clean with myself and she never brought it. I had to go to the bathroom and when I flushed it went up to the top of the bowl. I asked for a plunger but the girl couldn't find one. I asked for another room and was taken to a room worst than the one we were in so I kept the first one. We went out and purchased sponges and cleaning supplies and cleaned it ourselves. Really! that tub had not been cleaned in a while. The carpet had not been cleaned in a while either as there was corn chips by the bed and a spiders web on the inside window with the spider still in it. I asked to see the manager and she said that he wouldn't be in till morning. We asked the next day and were told he would be in at 11AM but he never would talk to us. We left and remember it as the single worst hotel experience we ever had. We wrote a card to the main headquarters and have had no reply from them either. This was our first experience with motel8 so I don't know how others are.I am not a person who requires the Ritz ,but I do require clean. The sheets on the bed were very rumbled so I wasn't sure they had been changed either. Please save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else. It was so dirty I really was afraid of catching something. I don't understand why the good reviews, could they have changed managers or something?
