The hotel is situated in a superb location, 900m above the valley overlooking much of Liechtenstein. The view is wonderful (if it's not foggy) and you are well placed to explore the tiny community of Triesenberg and beyond. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the staff are friendly enough.
Unfortunately, it is the hotel's location which is also the problem. Our room faced the town- so those booking rooms with the valley view may not have the same experience.
The hotel sits on the town's main square which is a hangout spot for the local kids and also a cafe in the summer. We stayed in late October so the cafe was closed, but the screaming kids were still in abundance- until well after 12:00am. This, added to the church bells which also rang periodically until midnight and resumed early morning, made for a poor nights sleep.
If you're looking to get some shut eye, try the rooms with the valley view or look elsewhere.

Nice, clean and spacious rooms. We had a room that had this flag right outside the wall/window that kept banging all night because of the wind. We called in the middle of the night to complain, but the owner said they couldn't do anything in the middle ofthe night. After a restless night, we were expecting to have to deal with a nasty situation (to get refund/change room/etc), but the management dealt with the situation very professionally, offered us a new room (with better views) and refunded a portion of the first night charge.

Charming little hotel situated in the centre of the pretty Liechtenstein village of Triesenberg.
The situation of the hotel is spectacular, high above the Rhine and Vaduz with great views from the rooms. We were put in a room right at the top of the hotel, and although the ceilings were a bit low, the room was adequate. The walls seemed very thin so we were disturbed several times throughout the 1 night we stayed here.
We ate the set evening meal in the small hotel restaurant which also had spectacular views, and the food including the breakfast was very nice if not fantastic.
I would recommend this hotel for a 1 night stopover just for the views alone, and is much nicer than Vaduz.

What a find we stumbled upon! Not being able to find a place via the internet, we took a chance and phoned a few hotels. High up the mountain, this hotel provided clean, spacious rooms with lots of light and a reasonable sized balcony. What a view! but be sure to ask for rooms facing the vista. Food in the restaurant was very good and breakfast was included. This little country is incredibly charming and the main bus route was immediately outside our hotel.
