We just came back from a weekend trip to Montgomery. We went into it with pretty low expectations on the lodging end of this trip, as it was not the focus of our trip. We were there to water ski and the hotel was just a place to sleep. After checking in we were very happy with the great rooms, pool area with grills/tables, computer nook, FREE laundry room, gym, lobby/gathering area and even a TV room w/ surround sound. It became a great place for all of the families to meet up, and one night we even had dinner brought out to the pool area for 25-30 of us! The staff helped us in any way they could and it was great, much better than trying to sit all of us in a restaurant. In the past I have been a "hotel snob" preferring the full service Marriott/Hilton type hotels, but from here on out I will be looking for a Staybridge Suites!

I stay in Montgomery for work very frequently, for long periods of time and have stayed at many of the area's hotels (especially Marriott brands). This, by far is the best I've experienced, particularly for a long term stay. The hotel is new, the public areas are nicely done and the suites are very well decorated and comfortable. The only drawback I found was their "full kitchen" did not have a stove with an oven, just two counter top burners. Still, the hot breakfast buffet and week day evening meals (really, meals, not snacks) more than make up for the missing stove - and save me $$$ on my per diem. Staff is friendly and helpful. Favorite feature: the flat screen TV in the room with a DVD.
The location is pretty nice for Montgomery, next to a big upscale shopping and dining area, so all the amenities are close-by. Interstate access is excellent. Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. You'll have a nice view of the beautiful pool area, and a small lake. Very relaxing watching the ducks and geese.

We stayed at Staybridge Suites as part of our Deep South trip. The hotel is new and hence, everything was very clean. The room was comfortable and included everything to make your stay an enjoyable one. All the saff were very efficient and on certain nights they offered special evenings, for example, Mexcian night, to enable the guests to meet each other.
The hotel is appoximately 15 minutes from downtown montgomery and is located next to a new outdoor shopping mall where there are a number of places to eat.
