I;ll try and keep this short.
I think the "Mixed Feelings" reviewer on 27 May sums this hotel up pretty well.
Its nice and clean with generally good service, but u feel underwhelmed when you arrive and that doesn't leave you during the stay. We planned to stay here 10 nights but cut it short by 2 nights. Unless your a golfer this particularly hotel puts a capital D into dull. Don't get me wrong its clean and rooms are a good standard but its not truelly 5 star.
However its atleast 50-70% cheaper than the Beach resort and like many of the people who I'm sure choose to stay here they're are almost no kids here so its quieter, its much cheaper than the beach resort but you can relatively easily get to the beach resort due to the hotel minibus. However next time I'd pay the premium and stay at the Beach Resort due to the ease of staying there, general ambience of grand hotel meets relaxed vacation venue. You would feel like you'd been on vacation at the Beach Resort I'm not sure you'd feel like that at the Golf resort. For that experience, ease and embience the Beach resort premium in my view is worth it.
If you don't want to pay the premium then this place is fine and does represent value but be prepared to travel to the beach resort (you can use all the beach resort facilities without a problem) everyday. Unless your a golfer I'm not convinced you'd be happy staying around during the day or evening due to its dullness factor alone.
I've given this a 4 star rating as its generally a decent standard, if I was basing it on ambience alone then it would get 3 stars.

We stayed at the Ritz Naples Golf Resort for 5 nights and loved the pool. My 15 and 11 year old would have stayed at the pool all week if we'd have let them. The staff there were very helpful. The construction noise next door did get a little distracting, but nothing that would ruin the day. The shuttle to the beach leaves every half hour, if you are looking for a true beach vacation it might be best to stay directly on the beach as using the shuttle required a little planning. Only downside is the food is very expensive -- we had a car and did go out to eat and to other beaches, Loudermilk Beach in Naples is a fun beach!

We stayed at the Ritz Golf Resort in Naples for 3 nights (including 4th of July) and loved our overall experience.
We stayed there for a variety of reasons, mainly that it was substantially cheaper than the Ritz on the Beach, yet afforded guests all the privileges that the beach Ritz offered.
The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are what we expected from a Ritz hotel. The pool area is nice and very quiet, especially when compared to the beach Ritz's pool area, which gets extremely noisy and crowded. The tennis facilities were nice as well and racquet's were provided to us for a small fee, and court fee's were not extremely high. ($6 a pop and $24 an hour). One of the most attractive features of the hotel is the full-access use of the Ritz on the beach. We got a cabana by the pool on the 4th of July, spent all Saturday on the beach, and it was perfect in every way.
Lastly, what made the Ritz experience truly special was the incredible hospitality that the staff displayed in every capacity. I have never in my life experienced their level of commitment and courtesy towards guests. It's hard to describe it, but it is something to be experienced.
The only advice I have is that it's a good idea to rent a car unless you are planning on not leaving the Ritz Golf Resort or the Ritz Beach. (A shuttle runs every half hour between the two). They are relatively "isolated" from the rest of Naples so plan on getting a taxi whenever you decide to travel away from the Ritz.

i checked in 5/23 and the evening i checked in we had 2 rooms booked on my reservations. there was an error my confirmation # did not appear in there system and the gentleman that was checking us in was really trying hard to find it , it took him over 45 minutes to get us in a room we requested 2 rooms w/ king size rooms. my husband and my self ended up doubling up w/ my brother in law and wife. we were extremly angry about that since the check in process took so long all the restraunts on property were closed so we had no choice but to order room service, well lonfg behold all the items that were on the menu that evening they were out of go figure. and they took over an hour to deliver our food and we complained to the manager he said it was out of his hand. the room was very clean but the beds were awful the springs were popping out of the one i slept on. the next morning i went down to the front desk and spoke to the manager and let her know my nightmare. so she gave us the 2 rooms we originally booked the bell service took 45 minutes to move us to our rooms which were two doors down, and we were promised 15 minutes. we did have breakfast at lemonia which was good just over priced. we did visit the naples beach resort they do have a shuttle that takes you over your told every 1/2 hour sit and wait it took 45 minutes. i can tell you the spa is excellent they really took care of yu courtesy was amazing the property beautiful and the food was great on the beach. but it was very unfortunate that the new room they put us into had issues w/ the mattress again this time i had to sleep on four pillows under me and asked a manager to come in th eroom and see the mattress for himself . if felt so awful that man made feel awful enough that we checked out he told me that i was the only person to complain and that if i was looking for a free be he was a total jerk. i went that weekend away to splurge not be insulted nor sleep on cheap beds i was even asked what kind osf mattress do i own well there are alot better then the ones they have as well on tuesday 5/27. i contacted the general manager and he was awful and told me that i he was just sorry but the type of person i am that has mattress issue will never be able to stay in any hotel hello sir i have stayed in several place as a matter of fact hyatt bonaventure i stayed there for a month what great service beds are incredible. so i contacted corporate so to my fellow travlers good luck the beds suck
