If you are staying at Daytona Beach amble down from the Boardwalk area and stay at the Bahama House. The rooms are big and clean. But it's the staff that makes the trip worth it. They work overtime to make sure your stay is the best. With a lot of people coming and going from the beach and pool there is always a lot of towels laying around. There was always someone picking them up to keep it neat and tidy. They have an open bar hour each night and it was delightful to get a "bahama mama "and drink it while sitting in the pool.
My only complaint is that they still have smoking floors. Our hallway was smoky smelling but not our room. When I talked to the front desk they told me that the hotel was going to no smoking soon. But I would ask for a non smoking floor.

Well after reading the wonderful reviews on the many previous pages, i thought it was a perfect! I had never visited Daytona Beach before and after staying at the hotel and roaming around the town i have to stay i will probably never go back!
When we reserved our hotel threw expedia we had put in a request for a full kitchen (for one room) and a for both rooms to be side-by-side. However, when we got there they did not have the rooms together , in fact on a different floor! I travled with my family and wasn't very comftrable with my kids 3 floors above me! Plus the sheets were itchy and frankly smelled like piss. Also BEWARE when you ask for oceanfront they will give you the complete oppiosite! Also the cleaning staff is very unfriendly! They do not do a good job and also talk behind everyones back in russian......
The town was very empty! Compared to myrtle, miami,st,pete, and virginia beach, Theres only one mall (reall small!) a waterpark and one outdoor boardwalk shopps its a nice quiet area but still felt werid. The beaches had dead white jellyfish that had washed up from a rainy day . I was worried if some of them were alive but luckly the majority was dead.
Over all im never coming back!!!! I would not recommend it!

We have a yearly reunion of sisters and come to the Bahama House. If you can come and stay for a week, or even a few days, you will not regret it. I don't know how they have and keep such an excellent staff, but everyone there is so nice. They have a Happy Hour every night and on Fridays have a magician, who is a lot of fun. The hotel is clean and well kept and you feel like home when you're there!

I stayed at the Bahama House on June 28-30 based upon the reviews on this website. My wife, 5yr old daughter, and in-laws stayed here after a long week in Orlando where we stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations Club at SeaWorld. We came to Daytona just to unwind from a long week and really relax on the beach. What can I say? The reviews were right on point, very nice and clean, very friendly staff and nice spot on the beach. I just wanted to write and let the hotel know my father-in-law actually liked this hotel better than the 5-star, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Seaworld. That really says alot!! I wish I would of knew this because I could of saved alot of money!!! LOL

Although it's located along the long strip of hotels and condos, the Bahama House is a welcome refuge from the ordinary. The public area is quite comfortable. The rooms are large, well appointed, nice beds and, most of all, clean (and the towels are fluffy), Ocean views are wonderful. The staff, with the exception of a few, was extremely friendly and helpful...couldn't ask for a better front desk team. The pool area is fairly small, but quite nice, and there's ready access to the beach. This is a family-owned property, which, in my opinion, makes it a cut above the rest. Would I stay at the Bahama House again? Definitely!
