This is a gorgeous property in an excellent location. The lobby was beautiful. There was a wonderful sitting room and a separate area for billiards. It definitely had an “old world” feel to it. The staff was friendly. We had a studio suite, which had a king bed, pull- out couch, and kitchen area. Everything was very clean. The lounge area – where they served happy hour and breakfasts – was delightful. It was huge with stained glass windows – very comfortable. The happy hour was like a full meal with hamburgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings, and of course beer, wine & soft drinks. The breakfast was also very good. We really appreciate free internet in the room. There were many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, and we could also walk to the baseball field. The only fault we could really find was that our room was near the stairs, and on a weekday morning you could hear people going up and down on their way to work. It was quiet on the weekend, though. This was one of the nicest Residence Inns we have been to. We would definitely return.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times over the past 5 years. This recent stay, 6/16/08, was the best. Front desk people are NICE to you, and helpful. Parking lot person was very nice too. The rooms are huge, with kitchens and very comfortable beds. The architecture is unique, not your cookie cutter hotel chain drab. The location is great, near the ballpark, basketball arena, and tons of restaurants. Easy walking distance to the Rock and Roll H of F, Musum of Science, Browns Stadium and Lake Erie. Great value.

Stayed here during a February weekend and won't hesitate to stay here again! Spacious suites, delicious breakfast, friendly staff. Very convenient to Jacobs Field and Quicken Loans Arena.
Suite had a king bed and sleeper sofa, dining room table, desk, and kitchen. Larger than some of the other Residence Inns we've stayed in. Very comfortable bed and nice shower in the bathroom! Our room was in the Euclid Tower which was a couple minute walk from the lobby. Oh-lobby had a market-everything from ice cream to champagne! Breakfast offered waffles, fruit, eggs, cereal etc.
Parking was $16.00 and underground-tight parking spaces!
Front desk staff always were saying "hello" to us whenever we walked by. They even asked how our evening was when we returned at 12:30 in the morning.

Went for a getaway weekend with the girls. Booked a king suite which was huge! Very charming hotel. Older yes but in great shape and very clean. Great location. Booked through Marriot website as hotel gave me higher rates over the phone. No valet parking when we where there. Self parked but still was charged valet rate. A great stay overall.

First the problem: I stayed at this hotel for 1 month. It has two elevators for use by both passenger and employees. 2 - 3 times a week the same elevator broke down. Let me repeat myself, 2 - 3 TIMES A WEEK. Which would leave one for everyone to use. Staying on the top floor didn't help matters. Cleveland Residence Inn, fix your elevator please!
Otherwise a very nice Residence Inn. This hotel used to be the Colonial Inn. It's attached to a small vendor arcade that spans N - S along a street block. Location is excellent. Plenty of eateries and pubs very close by. Not to mention the Public square, Tower City and light rail train -which runs to the airport.
The rooms are large. The room floors at times are creaky because it's a renovated hotel in an older building. But it's still a nicely laid out and appointed hotel.
Fair warning. Cleveland has a pan handler problem. Outside the hotel along the nearby street intersections pan handlers can be very aggressive to the point where they will walk into the pubs and hit you up while you are patronizing the place. They have every story and mishap in the world to try on you so be careful and don't fall for their contrived crisis's. This has nothing to do with the hotel but if you aren't comfortable with panhandlers you have been warned.
