My wife and I spent our second anniversary weekend at Beach Condominiums. It was a wonderful experience. We were welcomed by fresh flowers and greeting card in our room. Condo was very clean. View was breathtaking. Service was outstanding. Definitely would recommend it for any ocassion, especially romantic one. We will come back some day. Overall great experience!

We spent a week at The Beach Condos in July 2007 and had a wonderful stay in a beautiful unit on the 3rd floor. We had reserved that 3rd floor condo/unit in April 2007, for a week in July and a week in August. For a reason the managers will not explain they switched our reservation to a 2nd floor unit for our August week. IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY AT THE BEACH DO NOT CHOOSE A CONDO ON THE 2ND FLOOR, ESPECIALLY NOT 219. As all units were full during our August stay we could not be moved into a 3rd floor unit, nor even be moved off of the 2nd floor. The unit we were stuck in REEKED OF SMOKE-- on every cloth surface (even though it is a smoke-free facility) and no amount of spraying could lessen the stink. The entire unit was just SHABBY, carpets with big stains, walls with scuff marks, worn and gouged frames and dirty spots, broken dresser drawers, scummy looking jacuzzi, cigarette burn mark on bathroom counter (and this is a no smoking facility where they charge fines for smoking), only one bathroom outlet and dim lighting in bathroom that could not be adjusted, broken light fixtures and inadequate light bulbs throughout, non-working DVD player, loose door locks, trailer park furniture with scrapes and scratches, filthy bathroom carpet, and LOTS of noise as the bedroom window was across from the stairs and the pool. We heard people walking, runing and talking from both the 3rd floor and the first floor. The air conditioner/furnace fan was also overly loud. When we would try to use the deck we felt like we were on display as our deck could be seen (and heard) from all units near us. I could go on and on. We complained to "Drew" the manager and he has been of no help-- he is rude and would not even answer why his people changed our unit reservations. He did not even have the decency to acknowledge the issues with smoke oder and the overall shabby condition of the unit. Instead we and our complaint made him mad and unpleasant with US. And this happened when we paid up to $321 a NIGHT for our stay. There are a lot of ice places to stay in Traverse, and most all are less expensive. Even if we could again reserve a 3rd floor unit/condo we will never stay here again. You can get a much newer, cleaner condo at a number of other resorts and you won't be treated as rudely as we were by 'Drew" the condo manager.

My family and several others have been staying at the Beach Condo's in T.C. for the last 10 plus years. This has been a wonderful place to stay year in and year out. 8+ families come from Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and other states each year come at the same time to enjoy each others company, have our children play together, etc. This year couldn't have been a worse experience. The manager (Drew) had a severe bug in his butt about our "group", going to the extreme and evicting half of the families 3 days into our week-long vacation - ALL WITHOUT WARNING. His claims were unwarrented, and would not explain ANYTHING, just wanted a certain "Italian" family out-borderline racist. He refused to explain himself, going as far as threatening the "other" families that they were next. What a completely souring experience. As long as this "gentleman" is in charge of the condos, Ii would suggest you stay clear. His ultimate goal is to have a "quiet, sterile environment". If you enjoy fun - dont come here.
Having said that, if he is no longer a part of that group, my family and the others would be back in a heartbeat. Until then, check out the Tamarack Lodge next door. Beautiful rooms, just no pool at this time.
