AIRPORT Hotel

Had to check in due to American flight cancellations and no availabilty at any Hilton property in the area.
I must say I was worriedwhen I heard how cheap the room rate was. I travel a lot for business and to me cheap room is not a great deal but a scary thought.
This was not the case here.
From check in to check out the staff was nothing but warm and accomodating.
The room itself was typical and nothing special but it was clean. Sure it was noisy but it IS AT THE AIRPORT.
All the reviews I read before posting this made me laugh - do you really think an airport hotel is not going to be noisy??
Would I stay here again - probably not but I never plan on being stranded at the MEM airport again.

I would like to echo the comments posted hear about the noise in the hotel. It isn't the hotels fault that FEDEX is based here in Memphis and that the hotel is VERY close to the airport (between the runways). However, that is not the reason for my poor review.
Before going to bed I called to find out when the shuttles ran. The lady who answered was extremely short with me and said "On demand." and hung up.
The hotel offers sleep number beds which is a very nice touch. I set my sleep number and fell right to sleep. However when I woke in the morning I felt stiff and uncomfortable. I found that the bed must have had a hole in it because the sleep number now showed 20 (the very bottom) and I had it set closer to 50-55. I brought the number back up to 60 and took my shower. Upon returning the bed was at 25.

Worst Hotel EVER

This hotel was the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. We were there for a business meeting, and had multiple issues. When we arrived at the hotel after driving 5 hours the lady at the front desk was very rude. Then we all (about 25) gathered in the bar purchasing many beverages. We asked them if they would be able to accomodate us for dinner since we had such a large party and they only had 1 bartender that was doubling as our server and they said they could. It took two hours after we ordered to get our food and the food was burgers and chicken fingers, so it wasn't complicated orders . The food came out gradually. Some were finished with their food before others even received theirs. On top of that, the food was not very good.
I was excited when I saw they had Sleep Number beds, however several coworkers said that theirs did not work. One of my coworkers found a bug in her bed and did not receive the wake up call that she had requested. Another coworker found a pair of men's boxers in the sheets of the bed he already slept in. We went to the restaurant for breakfast and the service was extremely horrible. The buffet was out of eggs for a long time. We order drinks and it took 20 minutes to get them after we had to get another server. My coworker asked for ketchup 3 times and finally got it when she stood up to leave. The best was when another guest of the hotel got tired of waiting for more coffee, she went in the back and grabbed a coffee pot and went around refilling everyone's coffee. On the way out we wanted to bring some of these issues to the attention of the manager. The GM was rude and did not seem like he wanted to hear about it. He did not appologize once and walked away from us after hearing about the boxer situation. The young lady at the counter, however did appologize to us. On our drive back I tried to email a comment to Radisson customer service and it wasn't working properly. Then I tried to call their customer service number and he told me that I needed to call corporate customer service between 8 and 5. DON'T GO THERE

Stayed here 2/12/08 on business. This hotel is very convenient to the Memphis Airport--in fact way too close. Room was fine. Some of rooms (mine included--at least whole first floor) are accessed from outside walkway.
Had a 5:45 am wake up call, but didn't need it because this is the Memphis Airport, home of FEDEX. The FEDEX planes start taking off @ 4:30 am, every 2 minutes, about 50 yards from this hotel (or at least from the door to my room). Not only was there a very loud roar each time a plane took off, it also shook my room (and me, lying in bed). Impossible to sleep there. I will NEVER stay here again.
