My wife and I stayed here one night before flying out of Salt Lake. The room and hotel itself were average. The staff was the problem.
We took the shuttle to the airport and just before boarding the plane I realized I had accidentally left my favorite hat in the shuttle. We called the front desk and they checked the shuttle and said they found the hat and would hold it at the front desk for me. My parents were in Salt Lake so I asked them to go get my hat and informed the hotel they would be picking it up. When my parents arrived, nobody could find the hat at the desk and decided it had been moved to the lost and found. However, the lost and found was locked up (no joke, we were told it was to prevent theft by the staff) and the person with the key was gone. First off, what good is a lost and found that is kept locked up?! Second, what does that say about your staff if you can't even trust them to not steal things? Well, my parents left Salt Lake that day and my hat was lost to me forever.
Many of you may think this is lame because it's just a hat, but if you've ever had a favorite hat that fits just right and looks just right, you'll understand. You can never find another one like it.

We stayed here for one night as we had a flight out the next morning. The hotel is about a 3-5 minute easy drive to the airport. The pictures on the Radisson website are very deceiving. It's an older, worn hotel that needs desparate renovation. There is still one hallway on the first floor that allows smoking and it reeks from the outside. The pool and hot tub are small and outdoors. The work out room is small. The rooms itself are clean but nothing special. Hallways are dimly lit and the elevator is tucked away 9 inches inside of a wall...very weird. Television channels do not include your basic cable and are limited.
The hotel restaurant is on the small side. The server had an attitude. The side salad came out with wilted lettuce. I ordered fish and chips with "jalepeno tartar sauce." The tartar sauce tasted like it was straight from the jar without any hint of jalepeno. Prices were moderate.
We paid $149/night which isn't bad but I don't know what other hotels are around the airport area and if they are any better. I have not had pleasant experiences with the Radisson chain.

We stayed here for one night preceding an early flight the next morning. We fly from SLC frequently and have been trying some new hotels.
The staff was great. At check-in, I asked if they had a crib available and the clerk said they did. We promptly went to dinner (without verifying that they would be sending it to the room). When we came back from dinner and called down to get it delivered, we were told they had accidentally given away the last one. The manager, Zach, called me himself. He apologized profusely, and told me he would personally find one for us. I was very appreciative as our baby was exhausted, our flight was leaving early, and checking out to go to an alternative hotel was our only other option. Zach and his staff called around to other hotels until they found a crib for us, and within 30 minutes it was delivered.
The problem we had with the room was that it was very noisy. We were on the first floor, highway side--we heard traffic running all night long. We also heard doors slamming and people walking upstairs and on the first floor. At 3:00 a.m. we were still awake listening to the noise. I should mention that this is rarely a problem for us as we travel with a white noise machine that blocks out most sound. We had it cranked on high, and it still was loud in the halls and overhead. The worst part was when we got to listen to the ...ahem...headboard banging... going on in the next room. The walls are thin and it wasn't a restful night. I appreciated the staff very much, but we need a quieter hotel next time.

I took a bump from Delta and was booked here. Took a shuttle ride with others who had waited over 45 minutes (hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport). The driver advised us to make sure to get wake up calls and get on the list for the morning shuttle or else we might not get a ride. On check in I did that. Room was ok; room service was ok but I was told I could use my voucher and was refused on check out in the morning. I DID NOT GET A WAKE UP CALL. The front desk manager, Randy, argued with me!! Then he told me I wasn't on 'the list' for a shuttle ride to the airport. The shuttle driver was listening and offered to take me to the airport early - he had more class than 'ol Randy! When I got home, I called and spoke with the GM, Sharon, who promised to put in writing a complimentary visit for the trouble I had experienced. Guess what? After the second call to Sharon, NOTHING IN THE MAIL. Our agency will NOT be staying here! Want to miss an early morning meeting? Stay here!
