From the start, we were very impressed by this hotel. It was in a great location, our room was clean and welcoming and we loved the pool area.
HOWEVER...
Upon check-in, we asked the front desk clerk whether breakfast was included with our stay. She replied that yes, breakfast was available on the 5th floor, between 7:00 am and 11:00 am.
The following morning, my husband, son and I went to the 5th floor and found a nice little breakfast spead including fruit, cereal, baked goods, and tureens of scrambled eggs and bacon. We each grabbed what we wanted and sat down to eat. While we were eating, we noticed some patrons being presented with bills. As we had also noticed some people ordering special meals, we figured that they had simply wanted something above and beyond what the hotel was offering. We later found out that, no, the breakfast was not included with our stay, and was, in fact, $18.00 per person! For cereal and scambled eggs! I advised one of the restaurant staff that we had been informed that the breakfast was included, and she sighed and shook her head and explained that they had been inundated with people advising that they had been told the same thing and that obviously someone at the front desk had been misinforming guests.
I went down to speak with the front desk, and ended up speaking with the rudest manager I have ever, ever spoken to! Not only did she refuse to acknowledge that the hotel had erred, or to offer any sort of remedy to the situation, but she also advised that if the hotel were to pay for the breakfast, then we would just demand the same thing the following day. In essence, she implied that myself, my husband, and our five-year old were out to swindle the hotel and take them for all we could. And we were stuck, as we had pre-paid for our stay and could not just pick up and leave, as we would have liked to do at that point.
By the time I got back up to the dining room I was in tears, as I have never been so insulted and my concerns so summarily dismissed by anyone in the service industry before.
My husband advised that in the time I was down at the front desk, two more patrons had been surprised with a bill for the breakfast they had been advised was complimentary.
It really was a shame, as the rest of the hotel was lovely. I may be over-sensitive, but I'm just not crazy about being tricked into paying an exorbitant amount for a lousy breakfast and then being accused of being a thief. It puts a damper on the experience, you know?

Visiting for a long weekend, the hotel is located a convenient two blocks from Rogers Centre along the waterfront. The hotel is otherwise relatively close (5-15 minute walk) to other cool spots in town, and had a pretty nice lounge area for relaxing drinks. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

We attended a social event and the entire group stayed for one night at the Raddison on June 14, 2008. The hotel is in an excellent location if you're interested in exploring the harbour front of Toronto and within walking distance to the CN Tower and the Rogers Centre. Parking at the hotel was a nightmare; first of all it costs 21 dollars to park but that is only if you're lucky enough to get a space. There is no vallet parking and very few of the people in the group were able to get spaces. The decor of the hotel is very dated and extremely worn - I would probably classify this as a 2 star hotel at best, a 3 star - it is definately NOT a 4 star hotel. The rooms were fairly clean and functional but the street below was very noisy and the drapes did not have black-out lining and we were awake at 6 a.m. with the sun pouring into our room. When we booked we confirmed for a king size bed but upon arrival found out that there were no rooms available. Eventually they managed to round-up a room with two double beds only. Our compensation was free parking only.
Overall the value is pretty good - the location is amazing but to claim itself to be a 4 star is utterly ridiculous. I'd stay there again but be much more choosey about how much I paid and which room I received.

We stayed at the Radisson Harbourfront for 5 days at the start of our 3 week Canada tour. We were given a lake view room and enjoyed the fact that it was more relaxed than a hotel that was nearer the centre. Having said that Eaton Centre was 15-20 mins gentle stroll which we found easy.
The hotel staff and housekeeping were great. Reception actually organised our Niagara Falls trip which we found out afterwards was more reasonable than other tours - plus we were picked up by a limo much to our surprise!
In a nutshell great hotel and very good value for money.
