We stayed for 15 nights at the Ramada Grand Symphony in May 2008. We couldn't believe how quiet our room was (in the Carmen Tower) - we slept like babies! The room was comfortable, clean and spacious, but it would have been nice to have had an iron rather than a trouser press (who uses those any more??) and some shampoo and conditioner provided (remember to bring your own!). We had problems with the air conditioning in our first room, and they moved us without problem so very happy about that. The breakfast buffet was great. My only suggestion for improvement is that one or two of the young women on reception didn't seem very customer-focused and were a bit off-hand at times. Overall though, a fab, QUIET hotel in an excellent location for sightseeing and eating out. Would stay again.

Pros:
1. The location is right on St. Wensenslas Square. It's a about a 10-15 minute walk to Charles Bridge and the Castle district. There are a huge amount of restaurants, stores, and things to do right at your doorstep. You are also very close to the Museum Stop on the underground and the main railway station.
2. The staff is helpful and friendly. They also speak excellent English for those of you who don't speak Slovak or Czech.
3. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, clean, and beautifully up-to-date. The showers are hot. The thermostat will make your room as cool or cozy as you like. And the beds are comfy. There's plenty of storage space for your clothing and a safe for your valuables.
4. The included continental breakfast is more than just toast and coffee. It's a full buffett including cheeses, meats, eggs, fresh fruit, breads, pastries, cereal, etc., etc., etc.
5. And I believe they have a free airport to hotel shuttle, but call to double check that fact.
Cons:
1. A local phone call costs about $5 and they charge about $3.5 for an hour of internet. If I were you, go to a wifi cafe and make that local call from a payphone.
Overall opinion:
The location was great. The staff was friendly. The rooms were comfy. And the food was tasty. You can't go wrong with this place.

Can't praise this hotel enough. This is my 4th trip to Prague. I have stayed at the Savoy, The Hilton, The Mercure and in a private apartment and I must say that this was by far my favorite hotel in Prague. We wad an executive the room which was really a one bedroom suite. For 3 people this was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was plentiful with everything you could want to start your day. What really surprised me was how wonderful and efficient the staff was. Everyone was great and believe me, having traveled throughout eastern Europe, this was one plus I did not quite expect. Needless to say I give this hotel the highest of ratings.

This hotel is actually of a quite good standard compared to the normal standards of hotels in Prague.
The rooms was very nice with comfortable beds, writing table, and a lovely bath room.. The view from the room is non exisiting even though you get a room at front side of the hotel towards wenceles Square. The view is obstructed becase the windows are placed to high for sitting at the bed / chairs and have a view over the city.
The hotel does not look of much when you see it at pictures and from outside but it is a really nice hotel with good service standards.
The location is perfect ! It is as central as you can get and right on Wenceles Square where you can shop at alot of nice shops like Hugo Boss, Dior, Armani, Gucci and so on just few minutes walk from the hotel.
There is also a lot of nice shopping centeres within few minutes walk. If you want to party and go to pubs, disco etc. it is also perfect as most of the interesting places are in this area of the town.
For gay people it is also within 5-10 minutes walk from the "gay area". (it is not placed in the gay area but very close to it)
You can walk to the old town within 5-10 minutes and also possible to walk to the castle at 15-20 minutes.
So everything is within walking distance and if you want to use the metro there is a metro station just outside the hotel.
we would definately use it again next time we go to Prague and it is for my case 5th time I visited Prague when I was there last, so tried 5 different hotels and this is simply the best.
