This place was fantastic! Lights and AC were on when we arrived hot and tired. Felt like home. Bed & pillows were very comfortable. King suite was very nice w/ sitting area and couch, 2 TV's. Nice bath with large counter space. Cont. B-fast was well stocked in a nice garden room. Pool was nice as well. Will stay here whenever we are in the area. Staff very helpful too. Very close to I-75, easy on/off.
Make res. ahead of time for a warm welcome.

My husband and 2 step daughters stayed at this Ramada for 4 nights. We reserved 2 rooms. At check in, the girls room was $10 more/night than ours. I asked why and was told because they reserved 2 double beds. I asked the girls (who are in their late 20's) if they minded sharing a king bed which would save them $10/night. They said no problem and the clerk made the room change. I then asked about the suite deal that was advertised at the exit ramp. The clerk said that was a special offered to walk ins only not people that made reservations. He also said the hotel was sold out so the special wasn't available. (Sold out??? Didn't he just switch the girls from a room with 2 dbls to a room with 1 king?) I gave him a funny look then he told us that they would only save $4/night with the special so it wasn't really that much of a savings for them. (Guess he doesn't mind throwing away $16!) Our bed was comfortable. I'll give them that; however, the A/C unit was so loud that we had to turn it off in order to sleep. I made coffee in the room the next morning and the following day the pot had not been cleaned. Same thing happened the next morning plus our tub hadn't been cleaned. I went to the front desk and complained. The clerk made some notes, said that no one was on site to clean and that the manager wouldn't be in until after 9:00 the next morning. During our whole stay the coffee pot was never cleaned or the coffee condiments replaced. The pool was open but the exercise room had flooded so they couldn't turn the equipment on.
When we checked out, no one bothered to ask if we enjoyed our stay. Guess that was a good thing! We won't stay there again. If you're looking for a room in Dalton, GA I recommend the Winngate Inn. We stayed there last time and should have stuck with a winner. The Winngate is just 2 hotels down. It's an excellent location. We counted over 25 restaurants within 2 miles of the hotel (fast food and sit down). The outlet stores are just on the other side of the expressway. When you get to the Ramada, keep driving!

My family and I stopped at a Ramada Inn and Suites in Dalton, Georgia, on the way home from a vacation. It was late at night and they were almost full. We used the discount trip coupons that are found at all of the restaurants and gas stations and were able to get a king room with a pull-out sofa for 61.95. It was a wonderful place to stop and sleep. Because they were so crowded, we couldn't get a nonsmoking room with the size of bed of our choice, but with a little air freshener, we made the smoking room more endurable for the night. I was very impressed with the young lady at the hotel check-in desk. She was so polite and friendly even though there were so many people requiring her services, including me!
I definitely recommend staying at this Ramada Inn.

Heated Pool?

I spent four nights in this hotel. The website advertises a heated indoor pool and a fitness room. I was disappointed by the reality of the hotel's amenities. The pool is heated, according to hotel staff, "to 80 degrees." Eighty degrees is fine for competitive swimmers, but is chilly to us recreational users and potentially dangerous for toddlers. I called several days before we checked-in to request that the pool be warmed to a higher temperature, and also asked twice during our stay, but it never happened. The "fitness room" consists of: one treadmill, which is not operational; one bike, which is not operational; and one stairclimber which is older, but operational. Our room was No-Smoking, however, the hallways usually smelled of smoke and the odor sometimes came into our room inspite of the door being shut. The pool area is also No-smoking, but I frequently observed persons smoking. The rooms are in pretty good condition. The spreads and shower curtains and new and everything is basically clean. Even though the carpet appeared to be clean, my baby's feet and knees would become black from her crawling on it. The cleaning staff is nice, but only provides minimal services during an extended stay.
