After a mix up with the booking, not enough beds! we enetered our family suite with adjoying room. it was a good size with a veiw of the golf course. Nice. However ! The floor had cut toes nails on it and there was lots of dust. Also the bed settee was very stained and grubby. They were very quick to come and vaccum etc and the front staff were very apolgetic...
Great pool, didn't eat there. The kids arn't allowed in after breakfast as its pub eating! You must go to Saltys down on the beach for ameal . fab!

Fawlty Towers in Penticton!

This is an attractive property in a lovely town. I went to Penticton for a conference and was most impressed. Not with the Ramada. Twice I called and spoke with someone there, once to make and once to confirm my reservation and not once was I told the property was under construction. The lovely center garden was pretty much inaccessible due to renovations. I asked to be put in a room away from the construction and this seemed to create quite a tizzy. When I got to my assigned room the key did not work. When I called the desk, Juan told me I had to call someone else and this and that. When I insisted he came over. Then admitted, after going back and forth to the office he had assigned me the wrong room but it was my fault because I had asked about the locations. A few days later, when I returned from my morning session, having been out of the room for four hours my room was not made up. When I left for the afternoon session I found a maid and asked her to ask someone to make up my room. She said it wasn't her job but she would. That night a loud band played until well after midnight. Most of the hotel was full of yogis from my conference. We all were told the music would be over by 11 pm. The next day my room was not made up when I returned from lunch or dinner. I had to call for service at 7pm. I asked for some compensation and said I would stop by the office later, after our dinner to discuss. Most members of our party were leaving in the morning but the management did not seem able to adjust staffing. Six different parties waited over 1/2 hour to pay our bill. Mine was not arranged to my liking and I had to have the staff contact the manager. An inconvenience for everyone. My bill was adjusted but not after some reiteration on our part.

Great resort/motel.... We went over the labour day long weekend and expected a three star motel but were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are pretty good and large...but the real clincher for us was the grounds... Great pool with a bar (in summer) and pool side service. The attached restaurant/pub has again --surprisingly-- excelent food. The pizzas were superb. Be aware it is off limits to kids from noon on...but the whole family can get breakfast there.
For the price this is the best place in town... The front desk staff seemed a little confused at times....and it's easy to lock yourself out of the courtyard rooms...
