Beware - unsecure hotel

While the rooms were nice, the fact that the night before we arrived a room was entered (with a key) and a laptop was stolen makes that fact moot. The day we arrived we heard this from another band that was put up at the Andor. That day the driver of their tourbus was resting in his room when a man entered, reaching for a bag. When confronted, the man said he was in the wrong room, and made a hasty retreat. 7 of us brought all of our luggage (many pieces, we are on a month long tour of Europe) to our performance that evening, and returned with same.
Asking the staff for any assistance, be it to have a coffee, ask for a do not disturb sign (this is what the staff recommended to deter intrusion), or local information was met with disdain. The hotel seems to be understaffed, and any staff encountered reacted as if they were being put-out, that everything was just a hassle, and that "why are you asking me that" attitude prevailed.
In addition, I was charged 50 Euro for a key I left in my room. The key was a standard metal key, not a special security key. In addition, there was no "do not duplicate" stamp on this key (intrusions?). I spoke with a clerk at the hotel today. Not to my surprise, she was unwilling to extend an "olive branch" by removing that charge (which was unwarranted), and was rude as well, telling me "do whatever you have to do" and hanging up on me.

The hotel is very conveniently located near the rear exit of the train station.
Room size was good, as was bath size, I only wish the bathroom had had heating! On two stays there, I always froze in there.
Once you get out of the cold bath room, you should plan to spend time on a veeery leisurely breakfast, as their buffet and choice is the best and widest I have experienced so far. One of the hotels were I get up early to spend an hour eating my way through the buffet and reading the paper as a way of starting the day.
See that you don´t get rooms out the back, though, since there is a two-level street running past right outside which can make things quite noisy.
Except for the noise issue, my hotel of choice for business trips to hannover.

As this is a moderately priced hotel, we did not expect the very high standard that we experienced there.
The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and it was no problem for them to provide us with an evening dinner on our arrival even though it was after the official mealtime.
The rooms were of adequate size, with very comfortable beds. A very nice touch was that we were personally welcomed to our room by a message displayed on our TV screen.
The bathroom, though fairly small, was convenient with a very good shower. The public corridors and landings had a luxurious feeling of space.
The buffet breakfast was the best we have ever had, with food to satisfy any taste. We virtually had a 5-course breakfast! It was nice too to be told that breakfast was served between 7am and 11am, so allowing complete freedom of choice.
Finally, we appreciated the excellent facilities for storing our luggage after checking out of our rooms, as we had several hours' gap before our flight home.
The only drawback of this hotel is its lack of views of the city from its windows, but this is not important to us, so we think that this is definitely a hotel to be recommended.

Super gutes Hotel
