My experience at the Pan Pacific was the best I have ever had at a hotel. The extra money spent on the Pacific Floor was certainly money well spent. Bee, Peet 'Er and the rest of the butler staff were very kind and quite professional. The rest of the hotel staff were also very helpful with city tour information.
The location is unmatched with night markets right around the corner and a short taxi ride away. Also immediate access to the skytrain to the river taxis and other parts of the city.
There is so much to see and do in BKK so stay at the Pan Pacific to make your holiday relaxing.

Just got back from a stay at the Pan Pacific and really loved the place. The rooms are nice and the pool on the 24th floor was spectacular. Great location close to markets, skytrain, and shopping mall. I stayed on the Pacific floor and the service was probably the best I ever had. The free breakfast is good. My only complaint is that my partner and I were basically interrogated by staff when we returned to the hotel after a late dinner one night. My partner is Filipino and about 10 years younger than me. I think staff was implying that I was attempting to bring a prostitute to my room. Once he saw we were both registered to the room, he apologized profusely, but it never should have happened in the first place. I think GLBT travelers might want to consider a different hotel. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay.

If you want a taste of luxury and are not too concerned about wanting to stay with fellow Brits, Aussies and Americans ( it being an hotel with a largely Asian Business clientele), then give the Pan Pacific a try. You will not regret it.
It is ideally situated in the centre of Bangkok, handy for anywhere and, from the moment you step into the lobby from the busy streets and are whisked up to the hotel's high floors, you are in a world of peace and tranquility with impeccable service.
There are two levels of package deals giving excellent value for what is on offer. We paid a little extra for a room on the Pacific Floor and the personal service offered to us from checking in to signing out was second to none. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a superb view of Bangkok from up high, as do all the rooms at this hotel.
And just to mention that the towels available to us (even at the pool side) were the thickest, fluffiest and whitest we have ever had anywhere. As good an indication of an excellent hotel as any, I would say!

quite simply. having stayed in hotels all over the world, this has to be the best that we have ever experienced. So much so we extended our stay purely to enjoy all the comforts that this hotel provides. Each and every member of staff were wonderful. We stayed on the Pacific Club floors which had a separate check-in, where we were given drinks whilst the formalities were being carried out. The room was wonderful and the bathroom had superb facilities. In the 10 nights we stayed there (2 separate times) we did not hear a pin drop whilst in our room.
The spa facilities on the 24th floor were amazing with the pool area being such a tranquil oasis you would not believe that you were in the centre of such a busy city. The sunbeds were almost the size of a double bed with a thick mattress.
Having been travelling to Bangkok for 20 years now, the location of this hotel is also first rate and would now not consider staying anywhere else.

We used this hotel as a rest stop upon arriving at Bankok before continuing to Phuket the next day and returned afterward to finish up our trip. It was wonderful both times.
The hotel caters mostly to Japanese businessmen, so the design was understated yet elegant, the staff speaks Japanese and English as well as other languages. The staff is efficient and friendly and the property is impecably clean. Their standard rooms are of average size with queen size beds, slippers and cotton robes. The bathroom was large with a nice deep bathtub. It is also equipped with a high-tech bidet attatchment over the toilet for the ladies (we figured out what it was after being squirted in the face with water).
The hotel occupies the top 10 floors of an office building so the city views are great. It also has the benefit of a terrific rooftop open air pool and jacuzzi and an excellent health club.
It's located in the financial district next to a Robinson's department store, and around the corner in Silom you can shop for anything you like. The newly built Skytrain is also around the corner (Sala Daeng stop) so you can easily get to any part of the city without much hassle.
All in all we it was a terrific find for a city hotel and well worth more than the price we paid.
