I stayed at this hotel with my 8 year old daughter for one night because we were attending a Mika concert at the nearby Velodrome. I chose this hotel mainly because it was the only one in Arcachon reviewed on the internet and I knew we would be walking home from the concert. I have since found there are a number of much more reasonably priced alternatives around the town. When we arrived (at 3.00 pm) our room was not ready and we were "invited" to leave our bags and go away for a while. We had been travelling since 7.30 that morning so I asked if that would merit a reduction on the rather exhorbitant price of 160 euros. The suggestion was met with a stare of disbelief. I was given another room (still don't know what the difference would have been if any) and we checked in as planned. The hotel is adequate but, apart from its close proximity to the beach, I can't figure out why it is so expensive. The room was clean and comfortable but not particularly well equipped and there were no facilties that I could see to justify the cost. We discovered the next morning that there is a restaurant somewhere but we were not advised of its whereabouts at any point during our stay. The reception staff varied in their hospitality but at least one female receptionist looked as though she would like to single-handedly rid France of all tourists - beginning with the English. Incidentally, the velodrome is a good 30 minute walk away and there are plenty of other hotels much nearer to it. Arcachon is beautiful and well worth visiting.

Jolie surprise que cet hôtel idéalement situé en bord de plage et dans le centre d'Arcachon (emportez quand même vos bouchons si vous avez du mal à trouver le sommeil car comme c'est central, c'est bruyant). Ce qui m'a le plus séduit est la variété du buffet du petit-déjeuner ainsi que l'amabilité des serveurs(ses). Hôtel très propre et sécurisé. A conseiller les yeux fermés!

Chambre 4e étage avec vue sur le château Deganne (casino, discothèque et cafés) pas trop de bruit malgré animation. Chambre impeccable, moderne (très colorée), propre. Terrasse sympa. Lit avec une couette été pratique et agréable. Salle du petit-déjeûner agréable, buffet continental standard, personnel serviable. Personnel à la réception sympa mais manque parfois de professionnalisme. Situation hôtel: idéal !! Autant pour aller flâner dans les rues commerçantes que pour aller à la plage :)

Park Inn - Arcachon - Room 502 - May 2007 We only stayed at this hotel for one night as we were passing through on our way south. The room we had was very comfortable, clean, airy and decorated in a bright Scandinavian colour theme. The room had a beautiful large balcony/terrace with furniture and a view of the beach. The area was very quiet the day we were there. The hotel has secure underground parking (for a fee) which is a good thing since parking in this area is very much at a premium. You have to get the gate code from the front desk which made check-in a little challenging since we could not find a place to park on the street. As with all French hotels we found the cost of breakfast to be outrageous but there is a friendly sandwich shop steps away, where coffee and pastry for two could be had for 6 Euro. The hotel is located on the seafront and has a wide variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

On avait réservé sur internet et reçu une confirmation sur du papier en-tête de l’hôtel. A notre arrivée, plus de réservation, pas un mot d’excuse, apparemment les employés n’étaient pas plus surpris que ça. Ils nous ont même dit qu’on aurait dû appeler pour confirmer la réservation sur internet. Comme on insistait, ils ont appelé un autre hôtel dans une petite rue voisine et nous ont trouvé une chambre (mais pas avec vue sur la mer comme celle qu’on avait réservée) et promis qu’un membre de la direction prendrait contact avec nous. Mais à ce jour (on est maintenant en octobre) pas un mot d’excuse ni d’explication.
